According to reports Sony is pushing for a Men In Black 3, Etan Cohen (screenwriter of Tropic Thunder) is writing the script and Barry Sonnenfeld, the director of the first two films is said to be attached to the new instalment, though no official deal has been agreed on. Sony are looking to start production 2010. Men In Black 1+2 — which came out in 1997 and 2002 respectively, have combined to earn nearly $1.1 billion worldwide (big cheese $$$$!). No confirmation of Will Smith or Tommy Lee Jones’ involvement has been released so far, but to be honest why would they make this film without those two. I was never a big fan of Men In Black 2, to put it nicely I thought it was crap. Men In Black is one of the best popcorn movies of the last 15 years though, I hope #3 is more comparable to the original film. By the way Will Smith needs to play a villain he takes the easy roles too often!
