2010 Bafta Nominations Announced

The nominations are pretty good to be honest, I wasn’t a massive fan of An Education, I did think Carey Mulligan’s performance was great though. All in all it’s a pretty good list, it’s good to see Christian McKay get a nomination for Me & Orson Welles, hopefully (even though it’s probably a long shot) he will get some Oscar love as well. An Education, Avatar and The Hurt Locker lead the pack with 8 nominations each, District 9 has 7 nominations while Inglorious Basterds and Up In The Air both have 6. The awards takes place at London’s Royal Opera House on 21 February.

My Top 10 Films Of 2010
about 1 year ago - No comments
I’m going to be totally honest and concede that I’m completely useless at compiling lists. Reason one: I’m always changing my mind. Reason two: Me preferring one film over another depends entirely on my mood. Reason three: I’m lazy. Reason four: Because I am. So without further ado here’s what I consider to be the…

Walt Disney Pictures have released this splendid poster for Tron: Legacy via Yahoo. The poster is extremely reminiscent of the original Tron poster, it’s got that whole 1980′s Sci Fi/Fantasy vibe to it. I’m SUPER excited for this film, the trailers have delivered big time for me. Sam Flynn (Garrett Hedlund), the tech-savvy 27-year-old son…

No ifs or buts about it, this film is definitely a must see. I was fortunate enough to attend a press screening a few weeks back and I have to say it’s one of the most charming, visually stunning and all around thumbs up worthy films of the year! It’s more of a sci-fi romantic…

This trailer suffers from a severe case of showingtoomuchitus, I like what I see though, it looks like charming romantic comedy. I’ve always got time for Jake Gyllenhaal, director Edward Zwick has put out some quality flicks as well in Glory, Legends of the Fall, Courage Under Fire, The Last Samurai, Blood Diamond and Defiance.…
