I’ve made it no secret my dislike for this and most remakes in general, I think some things shouldn’t be touched. If your REALLY a fan of the original you wouldn’t remake it, maybe do a prequel or another film in the series but not just remake it with the same name, it just looks like a quick cash in, also to point out Michael bay’s production company, Platinum Dunes are the ones producing this so you can take from that what you want, they’ve remade The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, The Amityville Horror, The Hitcher and Friday The 13^th so far, with The Birds, Rosemary’s Baby and I’m sure any iconic horror film to cash in from lined up in the future.

On a positive note the trailer is actually pretty good, as was the poster I posted a few days ago. I also like the fact that Freddy is actually meant to be scary like he was in the original, the last few films in the Freddy series made him too wacky and comedic for me. I’ve got a feeling Jackie Earle Haley will be the only redeeming factor in this film.
