last airbender Final Trailer For The Last Airbender

The final trailer for The Last Airbender has been released and I have to admit as trailers go it’s pretty awesome. I’ve been very sceptical of this, predominately due to the fact that M. Night’s last film was The Happening, which was a huge, steaming, smelly turd of a film if there ever was one, it made his previous shit film, Lady In The Water look like a masterpiece. Yesterday it was reported that this was being converted into 3D, something that put me off just as much as The Happening, these 3D post conversions just seem like a scam to bring in some more $$$£££’s (if you’ve seen Clash Of The Titans you’ll know what I’m talking about), it’s an abuse of the technique, which when done well (see Avatar) can heighten the cinematic experience .  Hopefully they put more time into the conversion than Clash Of The Titans did. I really want this to be as good as the trailers have been, the action scenes look fantastic.*crosses fingers*

Based on the hugely successful Nickelodeon animated TV series, the live-action feature film is set in a world where human civilization is divided into four nations: Water, Earth, Air and Fire. The Fire Nation is waging a ruthless, oppressive war against the other three nations. The film’s hero, the reluctant young Aang (Noah Ringer), is the “Last Airbender” — the Avatar who, according to prophecy, has the ability to manipulate all of the elements and bring all the nations together. Aided by a protective teenage Waterbender named Katara (Nicola Peltz) and her bull-headed brother Sokka, Aang proceeds on a perilous journey to restore balance to their war-torn world. Dev Patel plays the Fire Nation’s evil prince Zuko. Exiled from the Fire Nation by his father, Zuko is sent to capture the Avatar in order to restore his honor and right to the throne.
