Another Great New Promotional Video For Toy Story 3 – Groovin’ With Ken
May 31st
Pixar must be a great place to work, they seem to effortlessly churn out fun promotional videos weekly. This video for Ken – whose voiced by Michael Keaton, is the pick of a great bunch of Toy Story 3 promotional videos for me, it completely cracked me up. Check it out, hilarity WILL ensue.
The creators of the beloved “Toy Story” films re-open the toy box and bring moviegoers back to the delightful world of our favorite gang of toy characters in “Toy Story 3.” As Andy prepares to depart for college, Buzz, Woody and the rest of his loyal toys are troubled about their uncertain future. Directed by Lee Unkrich (co-director of “Toy Story 2″ and “Finding Nemo”), “Toy Story 3″ is a comical new adventure in Disney Digital 3D that lands the toys in a room full of untamed tots who can’t wait to get their sticky little fingers on these “new” toys. It’s pandemonium as they try to stay together, ensuring “no toy gets left behind.” Meanwhile, Barbie comes face to plastic face with Ken (yes, that Ken).
Scott Pilgrim Vs The World Trailer
May 31st

After Hot Fuzz and Shaun of the Dead, Edgar Wright found his way into my ever shortening list of ‘Directors who’s films I will automatically go and see.’ From the trailer this looks like it’s going to be incredible, the teaser trailer was awesome but this trailer just blows that one away!
Meet charming and jobless Scott Pilgrim (Michael Cera). A bass guitarist for totally average garage band Sex Bob-omb, the 22-year-old has just met the girl of his dreams…literally. The only catch to winning Ramona Flowers (Mary Elizabeth Winstead)? Her seven evil exes are coming to kill him. Genre-smashing filmmaker Edgar Wright (Hot Fuzz, Shaun of the Dead) tells the amazing story of one romantic slacker’s quest to power up with love in Scott Pilgrim vs. the World.
Scott Pilgrim has never had a problem getting a girlfriend. It’s getting rid of them that proves difficult. From the girl who kicked his heart’s ass—and now is back in town—to the teenage distraction he’s trying to shake when Ramona rollerblades into his world, love hasn’t been easy. He soon discovers, however, his new crush has the most unusual baggage of all: a nefarious league of exes controls her love life and will do whatever it takes to eliminate him as a suitor.
As Scott gets closer to Ramona, he must face an increasingly vicious rogues’ gallery from her past—from infamous skateboarders to vegan rock stars and fearsomely identical twins. And if he hopes to win his true love, he must vanquish them all before it really is game over.
Dennis Hopper Dies At Age 74
May 29th
Dennis Hopper, the legendary actor, filmmaker, artist and icon passed away earlier today due to complications from prostate cancer. Hopper’s career spanned five decades with roles as diverse and unique as the man himself, giving us some of the most electric performances in both Television and Film history. Hopper co-wrote, directed, and starred in Easy Rider, and achieved fame for his unforgettable roles in films such as Blue Velvet, Hoosiers, True Romance, 24, Speed and my favourite film of all time Apocalypse Now. He had been ill with prostate cancer since last September, and died peacefully in his Venice home surrounded by family and friends on Saturday morning.
This scene from Apocalypse Now has always stuck with me for some reason – ‘Hey, man, you don’t talk to the Colonel. You listen to him. The man’s enlarged my mind. He’s a poet warrior in the classic sense. I mean sometimes he’ll… uh… well, you’ll say “hello” to him, right? And he’ll just walk right by you. He won’t even notice you. And suddenly he’ll grab you, and he’ll throw you in a corner, and he’ll say, “Do you know that ‘if’ is the middle word in life? If you can keep your head when all about you are losing theirs and blaming it on you, if you can trust yourself when all men doubt you”… I mean I’m… no, I can’t… I’m a little man, I’m a little man, he’s… he’s a great man! I should have been a pair of ragged claws scuttling across floors of silent seas… ‘

If sh*tting bricks for an hour and a half is your idea of fun, you couldn’t do much worse than checking out [REC]2, the sequel to one of my favourite Horror films of recent memory. I’ve seen it myself and I think it’s a great follow up to the original film, it begins where its predecessor left off in a creative and surprisingly original way. It doesn’t quite live up to the original but it’s still a great film in it’s own right. [REC]2 is in UK cinemas now.
The highly anticipated sequel to one of the scariest films of all time, [REC] 2 picks up 15 minutes from where we left off, taking us back into the quarantined apartment building where a terrifying virus has run rampant, turning the occupants into mindlessly violent, raging beasts. A heavily armed SWAT team and a mysterious government official are sent in to assess and attempt to neutralize the situation. What they find inside lies beyond the scope of medical science—a demonic nightmare of biblical proportions more terrifying than they could have possibly imagined. Above all it must be contained, before it escapes to wreak havoc on the unsuspecting world outside.
RIP Gary Coleman

“To live in the hearts we leave behind is not to die.”
Gary Coleman has sadly died at age 42, he suffered an intracranial hemorrhage and slipped into a coma, from which he never recovered. Coleman was best known from his role in Diff’rent Strokes and the catch phrase’Whatch’you talkin’ about Willis?’
Great ‘Legends’ Banner & TV Spot For The Expendables
May 27th
Playing on stereotype’s, The Expendables is pretty much for men, what Sex and The City is for women. The majority of the actors above have possessed a unique ability that makes them seemingly invulnerable to virtually everything thrown at them during their respected film careers. This skill along with them all being in one film together really should make this film epic, it’s probably 1,222,222,333,333,333,333/1 odds to be critically acclaimed, but you know what, it’s not supposed to make sense it’s supposed to be awesome! Head on over to AICN to check out the TV Spot and click on the banner above for a larger image.
THE EXPENDABLES is a hard-hitting action/thriller about a group of mercenaries hired to infiltrate a South American country and overthrow its ruthless dictator.
