I’m not even gonna watch these three clips to be honest, I’m stoked for this already. Over time I’ve become more and more invested in this film, I’ve come to the point where I don’t actually wanna see anymore, I want to go into the film as open minded as possible. If you’re still not convinced, or your unlike me and you want to see more of the flick, check out the three clips below.
A bold new chapter in the Predator universe, Predators was shot on location under Rodriguez’s creative auspices at the filmmaker’s Austin-based Troublemaker Studios, and is directed by Nimród Antal. The film stars Adrien Brody as Royce, a mercenary who reluctantly leads a group of elite warriors who come to realize they’ve been brought together on an alien planet… as prey. With the exception of a disgraced physician, they are all cold-blooded killers – mercenaries, Yakuza, convicts, death squad members – human “predators” that are now being systemically hunted and eliminated by a new breed of alien Predators. In addition to Adrien Brody, the film stars Topher Grace, Alice Braga, and Laurence Fishburne. Co-starring are Walton Goggins, Danny Trejo, Oleg Taktarov and Mahershalalhashbaz Ali. Predators was written by Alex Litvak & Mike Finch based upon characters created by Jim Thomas & John Thomas. The producers are Robert Rodriguez and Elizabeth Avellàn.
I didn’t realise this film was coming out so soon (October 22nd in the US), that does scream quick cash in, but I have to say this teaser is pretty creepy. I actually enjoyed Paranormal Activity, people were sh*tting bricks in the press screening, the lady sitting next to me was in hysterics. I hope this isn’t full of cheap thrills, the last one built the tension up brilliantly. Also poor dog……………………….and baby.
After a completely baffling, yet at the same time attention grabbing teaser trailer and the release of the first character poster yesterday, Paramount Pictures have released the first trailer for Gore Verbinski’s computer animated feature film Rango. I really like the looks of this, it looks completely bonkers but charming at the same time. Visually the animation looks fantastic. This is one film I’ll be keeping my eyes on.
Rango is Paramount’s upcoming Animated feature film, the voice cast is comprised of Johnny Depp, Isla Fisher, Abigail Breslin, Alfred Molina, Bill Nighy, Harry Dean Stanton, Ray Winstone, and Timothy Olyphant as The Spirit of the West. Gore Verbinski (Pirates of the Caribbean) directs from a script he co-wrote with James Byrkit and John Logan (The Aviator). Rango is set to be released March 2011.
Eat, Pray, Love is based on the best-selling memoir by Elizabeth Gilbert, a book my Mum swears by (NOTE: My Mum is not the best endorsement for films/books – sorry mum). I guess if I was a 40+ year old women this would excite me, the fact that I’m a man in my mid 20′s, I have an interest level of roughly zilch. On a more positive note, visually the film looks rich and warm, I’m a fan of the cast as well, except Julia Roberts, I don’t mind her, I just don’t get all the fuss! Check out the trailer and synopsis below
Liz Gilbert (Roberts) had everything a modern woman is supposed to dream of having – a husband, a house, a successful career – yet like so many others, she found herself lost, confused, and searching for what she really wanted in life. Newly divorced and at a crossroads, Gilbert steps out of her comfort zone, risking everything to change her life, embarking on a journey around the world that becomes a quest for self-discovery. In her travels, she discovers the true pleasure of nourishment by eating in Italy; the power of prayer in India, and, finally and unexpectedly, the inner peace and balance of true love in Bali. Based upon the bestselling memoir by Elizabeth Gilbert. Eat, Pray, Love comes to theaters August 13th (in the US), and stars Julia Roberts, James Franco, Javier Bardem, Billy Crudup, Richard Jenkins, Viola Davis, Tuva Novotny, Ali Khan. The film is directed by Ryan Murphy.
Warner Bros have finally liberated the first trailer for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. To be honest I’m not the biggest Harry Potter fan, yet even I have to admit this trailer is two and a half minutes of pure awesomeness! Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part I will hit cinemas November 19th, while Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part II is slated for release July 15, 2011. The film stars Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint, Emma Watson, Jim Broadbent, Helena Bonham Carter, Robbie Coltrane, Warwick Davis, Michael Gambon, Alan Rickman, Maggie Smith, Timothy Spall, David Thewlis, Julie Walters and is directed by David Yates. After giving us diddly squat with the teaser trailer, Paramount have now introduced us to the title character of Gore Verbinski’s Rango (who’s being voiced by Johnny Depp). I have to say I really like the design, he looks pretty offbeat. A new teaser trailer, hopefully 12739373% less baffling than the first one, will be released online tomorrow.
