Three New Images From ‘Season of the Witch’ – Starring Nicolas Cage & Ron Perlman *UPDATED With Three More Images*
ShockTillYouDrop.com have got their hands on three new images from Season of the Witch, the long delayed supernatural thriller starring Nicolas Cage and Ron Perlman. The numerous delays haven’t instilled a great amount of hope in me for this film (it was originally scheduled for a March 19th 2010 release), the trailer wasn’t exactly the most confidence inducing thing I’ve seen either. I do love me some Nicolas Cage though, he’s always entertaining, even in bad movies he cracks me up. I’m also a big fan of Hellboy Ron Perlman, he’s pretty much the embodiment of manliness. Season of the Witch also stars Stephen Campbell Moore, Robert Sheehan, Claire Foy, Ulrich Thomsen, Stephen Graham and Christopher Lee. Season of the Witch is in cinemas January 7th 2011. Updated with three more images.
In the supernatural thriller Season of the Witch, Nicolas Cage stars as a 14th century Crusader who returns with his comrade (Ron Perlman) to a homeland devastated by the Black Plague. A beleaguered church, deeming sorcery the culprit of the plague, commands the two knights to transport an accused witch (Claire Foy) to a remote abbey, where monks will perform a ritual in hopes of ending the pestilence.
A priest (Stephen Campbell Moore), a grieving knight (Ulrich Thomsen), an itinerant swindler (Stephen Graham) and a headstrong youth who can only dream of becoming a knight (Robert Sheehan) join a mission troubled by mythically hostile wilderness and fierce contention over the fate of the girl. When the embattled party arrives at the abbey, a horrific discovery jeopardizes the knight’s pledge to ensure the girl fair treatment, and pits them against an inexplicably powerful and destructive force.
