Ben Foster And Giovanni Ribisi In Talks To Join Mark Wahlberg And Kate Beckinsale In ‘Contraband’
According to the good folks over at Variety, Ben Foster and Giovanni Ribisi are in talks to star in Contraband, the American remake of the Icelandic film Reykjavik-Rotterdam. Currently Mark Wahlberg and Kate Beckinsale are onboard to star.
In the film Wahlberg stars as a security guard and former alcohol smuggler, who after running into some financial troubles decides to undertake the often calamitous ‘one last job.’ According to the report Foster will play Wahlberg’s brother-in-law. No details on who Ribisi might play yet. Contraband is to be directed by Baltasar Kormakur – who starred in the original film. Look out for this in cinemas March 16th, 2012.
