Irrfan Khan, Campbell Scott And Julianne Nicholson Join The Cast Of Marc Webb’s Upcoming Spider-Man Reboot
The cast for Marc Webb‘s 3D reboot of Spider-Man seems to be shaping up nicely. All confirmed are Andrew Garfield as Peter Parker/Spideman, Emma Stone as Gwen Stacy – Peter’s love interest, Martin Sheen as Uncle Ben, Sally Field as Aunt May, Denis Leary as George Stacey and Rhys Ifans as villain Dr. Curt Connors/The Lizard. Now joining that list is Campbell Scott and Julianne Nicholson as Peter Parker’s parents, and Irrfan Khan for the role of Nels Van Adder/Proto-Goblin, the films second villain. Zooey Deschanel, John Slattery and the man with the greatest moustache on earth Sam Elliott, are rumoured for roles in the film.
I’ve got high hopes for this reboot. Spider-Man swings back onto the big screen in 3D on July 3rd, 2012. The film will begin production this month and is directed by Marc Webb from a screenplay by James Vanderbilt. Laura Ziskin and Avi Arad will produce the film from Columbia Pictures and Marvel Studios.
