Blake Edwards, director of Breakfast at Tiffany’s, 10 and eight Pink Panther films, has died aged 88. His publicist Gene Schwam said the death was caused by complications of pneumonia.

In 2004 Edwards received an Honorary Academy Award for his “extraordinary body of work” that spanned more than four decades.

He is survived by his wife, actress Julie Andrew and the couple’s two children. He also has another two children from a previous marriage to Patricia Walker. RIP Mr Edwards, thanks for making us laugh!
