Jeezum crowbar this is awesome! Peter Jackson, the director of the upcoming two-part feature film adaptation of ‘The Hobbit,’ has rather uniquely released this 10 minute production video from the set of the film via his Facebook page. The director goes back to the recreated Bilbo Baggins’ Bag End, providing us with an official look at the first few days of shooting, giving us a peak at some of the stunt preparation as well as weapon and costume work. The video also features our first look at some of the cast on the set, including Andy Serkis, Sir Ian McKellen, Martin Freeman, Richard Armitage, James Nesbitt and Richard Taylor of Weta Workshop. Mouth watering stuff!

Jackson, director of all three Lord of the Rings films, will be helming the two movies back-to-back for a 2012 and 2013 release. Confirmed cast include Martin Freeman, Ian McKellen, Richard Armitage, Ken Stott, Graham McTavish, William Kircher, James Nesbitt, Stephen Hunter, Rob Kazinsky, Aidan Turner, Peter Hambleton, John Callen, Jed Brophy, Mark Hadlow, Adam Brown, Cate Blanchett, Andy Serkis, Mikael Persbrant, Sylvester McCoy and Elijah Wood. Look out for more production videos soon.
