First Images Of Christian Bale In Zhang Yimou’s ‘The 13 Women Of Nanjing’
Tianjinwe (Via /Film) and Christian-Bale.org have got their hands on the first images of Christian Bale in Zhang Yimou’s upcoming movie ‘The 13 Women of Nanjing,’ which based on the the infamous 1937 incident, the Nanjing Massacre. I’ve got exceptionally high hopes for this film, Christian Bale is one my favourite actors and Yimou’s films – which include House Of Flying Daggers, Curse of the Golden Flower, Hero, Not One Less and The Story Of Qui Ju – are continually mesmerizing and visually sumptuous.
In the film Bale will play an American priest named John who helps a great number of Chinese escape certain death. Yan and Liu Heng wrote the script based on Yan Geling‘s novel ‘The 13 Women of Nanjing.’ Look out for this film late 2011/early 2012.
