New Image From ‘The Hangover: Part II’ – Plus Director Todd Phillips Talks About The Film & A Possible Third
Courtesy of MTV’s Summer Movie Preview week this new image of ‘the wolf pack’ – pre-bonkers shenanigans – has found its way online from Todd Phillips highly anticipated comedy sequel ‘The Hangover: Part II’. Furthermore MTV had a chinwag with Phillips to talk about film, he went on to explained why he thinks round two is going to work just as well (if not better than) as the original film: “I think there are very few sequels that have been made that live up to or exceed their first film. ‘The Godfather’ is the first one,” said the director. “We had always planned on calling it ‘The Hangover 2,’ and when we finished the script, I changed the cover page and wrote ‘The Hangover Part II,’ because I think the film lives up to or exceeds the first one. It was very much a nod to ‘The Godfather.’”
Phillips also seemed open to the idea of a third ‘Hangover’ film: “I could [do a third],” he said. “And I’m only saying that because we love working together — me, Ed, Bradley, Zach, Justin, Ken Jeong. We have such a good time on these movies. I know it sounds absurd, but I see other movies that have gone to three and you go, ‘I get why they do it.’ It’s actually fun. We just spend the whole day laughing and trying to make a movie.”
This film is comprehensively ringing my anticipation bell. ‘The Hangover: Part II′ comes to cinemas May 26th, 2011, and stars a party loving monkey, Bradley Cooper, Ed Helms, Zach Galifianakis, Jeffrey Tambor, Mike Tyson, Justin Bartha, Liam Neeson Nick Cassavetes and Ken Jeong.
