Michael Fassbender In Talks To Join Danny Boyle’s ‘Trance’
Variety are reporting that Michael Fassbender is in talks to headline Danny Boyle’s upcoming crime thriller ‘Trance.’ The film is said to revolve around an art heist gone wrong, with the dark, sexy, hard-edged tone of Boyle’s earlier films ‘Shallow Grave’ and ‘Trainspotting.’ If Fassbender signs on the dotted line ‘Trance’ would add to a growing number of mouth-watering projects the actor has in the pipeline – these include Matthew Vaughn’s ‘X-Men: First Class,’ Ridley Scott’s ‘Prometheus,’ David Cronenberg’s ‘A Dangerous Method,’ and Steve McQueen’s ‘Shame.’
‘Trance’ is set to shoot in London this September, however it will have nearly a full year break before resuming production due to Danny Boyle’s prestigious gig of directing the opening ceremonies of next summer’s London Olympics Games. ’Trance’ is aiming for a March 2013 release.
