This second image has found its way online from Disney•Pixar’s ‘Brave,’ eliciting the films original title, ‘The Bear and the Bow,’ with Princess Merida ready to strike with her bow and a teasing glance at a bears paw. I really believe that we’ll be in for a treat with this film, I love the idea of Pixar doing a fairy tale! The voice cast assembled features Kelly Macdonald (“No Country for Old Men,” “Boardwalk Empire”), Emma Thompson (“Sense and Sensibility,” “Love Actually”), Kevin McKidd (“Trainspotting,” “Dog Soldiers”), Julie Walters (“Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone,” “Gnomeo & Juliet”), Bill Connelly (“The Boondock Saints,” “Lemony Snicket’s A Series of Unfortunate Events”), Craig Ferguson (“Saving Grace,” “Doc Martin”) and Robbie Coltrane (“Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone,” “The World Is Not Enough”). ‘Brave’ hits cinemas June 22nd 2012 – I’m there!

’Brave’ is set in the mystical Scottish Highlands, where Merida is the princess of a kingdom ruled by King Fergus (Connolly) and Queen Elinor (Thompson). An unruly daughter and an accomplished archer, Merida (Macdonald) one day defies a sacred custom of the land and inadvertently brings turmoil to the kingdom. In an attempt to set things right, Merida seeks out an eccentric old Wise Woman (Walters) and is granted an ill-fated wish. Also figuring into Merida’s quest – and serving as comic relief – are the kingdom’s three lords: the enormous Lord MacGuffin (McKidd), the surly Lord Macintosh (Ferguson), and the disagreeable Lord Dingwall (Coltrane).
