Four Fantastic Paul Smith Prints For ‘Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy’

Design guru Paul Smith has put together these four high-concept prints for Tomas Alfredson’s (Let The Right One In) impending Cold War thriller ‘Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy.‘ The film is an adaptation of John Le Carre’s acclaimed and best-selling spy novel of the same name. The cast assemble is top-notch in Gary Oldman as George Smiley, Benedict Cumberbatch, David Dencik, Colin Firth, Stephen Graham, Tom Hardy, Jared Harris, Ciarán Hinds, Svetlana Khodchenkova, Roger Lloyd Pack and Mark Strong.

These four prints will be available to buy in Sir Paul’s emporiums from September 13th. They’re limited edition pieces, only a few hundred have been made. They’ll be on sale for £100 with profits going to Maggie’s Cancer Caring Centres. The good people at StudioCanal had the following to say about the prints: “Sir Paul Smith is delighted to have collaborated with the director in the early development stages of the film working in a creative capacity, offering thoughts and insights on 1970s London; mood, colour and photographic approach.” 

Set in the 1970s, ‘Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy’ finds George Smiley, a recently retired MI6 agent, doing his best to adjust to a life outside the secret service. However, when a disgraced agent reappears with information concerning a mole at the heart of the Circus, Smiley is drawn back into the murky field of espionage. Tasked with investigating which of his trusted former colleagues has chosen to betray him and their country, Smiley narrows his search to four suspects – all experienced, urbane, successful agents – but past histories, rivalries and friendships make it far from easy to pinpoint the man who is eating away at the heart of the British establishment. ‘Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy‘ is set for release September 16th in the UK, and November 18th in the US.
