First Assortment Of Set Photos From ‘The Bourne Legacy’ Featuring Rachel Weisz
Giving us our first peak at Rachel Weisz in the film, FusedFilm has uncovered this new batch of photos from the New York set of Tony Gilroy’s ‘The Bourne Legacy.’ In the Bourne spinoff, two-time Oscar nominee Jeremy Renner (The Hurt Locker, The Town) will play a new character: an operative from a covert government program that is even more dangerous than the Treadstone brainwashing program that hatched Bourne. The likes of Ed Norton, Oscar Isaac Joan Allen, Albert Finney, Stacy Keach, and Scott Glenn co-star.
Writer/Director Tony Gilroy wrote the previous three Bourne movies along with ‘The Devil’s Advocate’ and ‘Michael Clayton’ (which he also directed) – each thoroughly thumbs up worthy movies. Also to point out while the film shares a title with the book ‘The Bourne Legacy’ by Eric Van Lustbader – the first book in the series after original writer Robert Ludlum’s death – Gilroy says it’s a stand alone script that does not follow the same plot. The film will feature a whole new hero (Jeremy Renner) in the same universe as the first three Bourne films, though the character of Jason Bourne (Matt Damon) will be absent. ‘The Bourne Legacy’ comes to cinemas August 3rd, 2012.
