First Set Photos From Danny Boyle’s ‘Trance’ – Featuring A Bloodied James McAvoy
Digital Spy and Yuku have provided us with our first look at Danny Boyle’s upcoming heist thriller ‘Trance.’ The images feature a bloodied James McAvoy alongside Boyle and cinematographer Anthony Dod Mantle. The film revolves around an art heist gone wrong, with the dark, sexy, hard-edged tone of Boyle’s earlier films ‘Shallow Grave’ and ‘Trainspotting.’
James McAvoy is joined in the film by Rosario Dawson and Vincent Cassel. ‘Trance’ centres on an auction house assistant who executes a heist with a group of professional thieves. The plans go awry when the assistant suffers a blow to the head and forgets where he stored the stolen painting. ‘Trance’ is currently shooting in London, however it will have nearly a full year break before resuming production due to Danny Boyle’s prestigious gig of directing the opening ceremonies of next summer’s London Olympics Games. ’Trance’ is aiming for a March 2013 release.
