New ‘The Dark Knight Rises’ Viral Document Teases “Operation Early Bird”

Hot on the heels of yesterday’s two viral documents for Christopher Nolan’s ‘The Dark Knight Rises,’ @TheFireRises has released this third, teasing an event called “Operation Early Bird” – which is set to take place tomorrow at 10am PST (6pm GMT). The viral document contiunes the angle of Alon Abutbul’s “mad scientist” character, Dr. Leonid Pavel. With the release of the first full-length trailer for ‘The Dark Knight Rises’ later this month, it’s likely that these documents are just the first steps in a much larger viral campaign.

‘The Dark Knight Rises’ stars Christian Bale, Anne Hathaway, Tom Hardy, Gary Oldman, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Michael Caine, Morgan Freeman, Marion Cotillard, Juno Temple, Josh Pence, Daniel Sunjata, Nestor Carbonell, Tom Conti, Joey King, Brett Cullen, Chris Ellis, Josh Stewart, Christopher Judge, Adam Rodriguez and Rob Brown. The plot for the film is being kept securely under lock and key. Judging by the teaser and the previous two films I’d expect something E P I C. Chistopher Nolan will direct the film from a screenplay he wrote with Jonathan Nolan. The filming locations for ‘The Dark Knight Rises’ have spanned three continents and include the American cities of Pittsburgh, New York and Los Angeles, as well as sites in India, England and Scotland. ‘The Dark Knight Rises,’ the eagerly anticipated epic conclusion to the Dark Knight legend, is scheduled for release on July 20th 2012.
