Vin Diesel Talks Sixth & Seventh ‘Fast and Furious’ Installments

With this massive success of ‘Fast Five’ both financially and critically, more adrenaline filled action, car racing shenanigans and manly pouts scowls were always going to be heading our way. Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter, Vin Diesel had the following to say about the sixth and seventh films that are being planned for the “Fast and Furious” franchise.

“With the success of this last one, and the inclusion of so many characters, and the broadening of scope, when we were sitting down to figure out what would fit into the real estate of number six, we didn’t have enough space. We have to pay off this story, we have to service all of these character relationships, and when we started mapping all that out it just went beyond 110 pages. The studio said, ‘You can’t fit all that story in one damn movie!’”

The sixth movie in the “Fast and Furious” franchise has been scheduled for release May 24th, 2013. Neal H. Moritz and Vin Diesel return to produce, while director Justin Lin is again helming the franchise. The end of ‘Fast Five’ teased the return of Eva Mendes and Michelle Rodriguez, so the next two “Fast and Furious” movies will likely feature a HUGE cast if all are returning from ‘Fast Five.’ Expect more details soon.
