Previewing two of Disney’s much anticipated films of 2012, the good folks over at Stitch Kingdom has released a new image from Tim Burton’s upcoming stop-motion animated film ‘Frankenweenie,’ and a new image from Disney•Pixar’s ‘Brave.’ ‘Frankenweenie’ follows young Victor as he conducts a science experiment to bring his beloved dog Sparky back to life, only to face unintended, sometimes monstrous, consequences. Burton originally came up with the idea for Frankenweenie’ in the early 80′s, he envisioned it as a full-length, stop-motion animated film. Due to budget constraints, he instead directed it as a live-action short, released in 1984. Winona Ryder, Martin Short, Catherine O’Hara, Martin Landau, Charlie Tahan, and Atticus Shaffer will voice the characters in the 3D black-and-white stop-motion animated film, due for cinema release October 5th, 2012.

In ‘Brave,’ the courageous Merida (voice of Kelly Macdonald) confronts tradition, destiny and the fiercest of beasts.  Merida is a skilled archer and impetuous daughter of King Fergus (voice of Billy Connolly) and Queen Elinor (voice of Emma Thompson). Determined to carve her own path in life, Merida defies an age-old custom sacred to the uproarious lords of the land: massive Lord MacGuffin (voice of Kevin McKidd), surly Lord Macintosh (voice of Craig Ferguson) and cantankerous Lord Dingwall (voice of Robbie Coltrane). Merida’s actions inadvertently unleash chaos and fury in the kingdom, and when she turns to an eccentric old Witch (voice of Julie Walters) for help, she is granted an ill-fated wish. The ensuing peril forces Merida to discover the meaning of true bravery in order to undo a beastly curse before it’s too late. Look out for ‘Brave’ in cinemas June 22nd 2012.
