First Official Look At The Lizard In ‘The Amazing Spider-Man’?
New merchandise images have surfaced online (via Idle Hands) for ‘The Amazing Spider-Man,’ possibly giving us a first real look at The Lizard – who’s played by Rhys Ifans. Based on the Marvel Comic Book by Stan Lee and Steve Ditko, the 3D action-adventure will be swinging onto the big screen July 3rd in the US, and July 4th in the UK. The film stars Andrew Garfield (Peter Parker/Spider-Man), Emma Stone (Gwen Stacy), Rhys Ifans (Dr. Curt Conners/The Lizard), Denis Leary (George Stacy), Campbell Scott (Richard Parker), Irrfan Khan (Nels Van Adder/Proto-Goblin), Martin Sheen (Ben Parker) and Sally Field (May Parker).
Like most teenagers his age, Peter is trying to figure out who he is and how he got to be the person he is today. In his journey to put the pieces of his past together he uncovers a secret that his father held…a secret that will ultimately shape his destiny as Spider-Man. This is the first in a series of movies that tells a different side of the Peter Parker story. On July 3rd, 2012, the untold story begins.
