dwayne johnson fast 6 Dwayne Johnson Speaks On The Upcoming Fast and Furious Films Fast Six & Fast Seven

Following the huge success of ‘Fast Five’ financially and critically, more adrenaline filled action, car racing shenanigans, and manly pouts scowls were always going to be heading our way. Speaking to MTV on the promotional campaign for ‘G.I. Joe: Retaliation,’ Dwayne Johnson revealed that the tentatively titled ‘Fast Six’ and ‘Fast Seven’ are likely to shoot in the UK and Germany. Johnson also revealed that they’re set to begin filming ‘Fast Six’ this May, but the plan is no longer to shoot both sequels at the same time (which was originally alluded to by Vin Diesel):

“I don’t think we’re going to shoot them back-to-back. We were going to try that because it wouldn’t make sense to have the same crew and have everybody there in one place, but I think we’re dealing with some weather issues, so from what I know we’re going to shoot Fast 6 first and then worry about Fast 7 a little later.”

The sixth movie in the “Fast and Furious” franchise has been scheduled for release May 24th, 2013. Neal H. Moritz and Vin Diesel return to produce, while director Justin Lin is again helming the franchise. The end of ‘Fast Five’ teased the return of Eva Mendes and Michelle Rodriguez, so the next two “Fast and Furious” movies will likely feature a HUGE cast if all are returning from ‘Fast Five.’ That film starred Vin Diesel, Paul Walker, Dwayne Johnson, Jordana Brewster, Chris “Ludacris” Bridges, Tyrese Gibson, Sung Kang, Elsa Pataky, Gal Gadot, Matt Schulze, Tego Calderon and Don Omar. Expect more details about ‘Fast Six’ and ‘Fast Seven’ soon.
