Sebastian Koch & Yulia Snigir Cast As Villains In ‘A Good Day To Die Hard’ (Die Hard 5)
Apr 4th
Variety bring word that 20th Century Fox has cast Sebastian Koch and Yulia Snigir in the fifth installment in the Die Hard series, ’A Good Day To Die Hard.’ Both roles are believed to be villainous in nature. Koch will play Komorov, while Snigir will play Irina. The two actors join Bruce Willis, who’s reprising his iconic role of John McClane, and Jai Courtney who’s portraying McClane’s son Jack. Courtney is best known for playing Varro on ‘Spartacus: Blood and Sand.’ Directed by John Moore (Max Payne), ‘A Good Day To Die Hard’ has been set a February 14th, 2013 release date. The story is said to bring John McClane to Russia for more action-packed shenanigans, this time alongside his estranged son.
The last instalment, ‘Live Free Or Die Hard,’ showed there was still steam in the franchise when it grossed $384 million worldwide. I’m looking forward to seeing John McClane back on the big screen – the man who can single-handedly take out 16 Russian mercenaries with no shoes on and a grubby vest. I’m a massive fan of the original ‘Die Hard’ movie, it’s one of the most entertaining and flat-out thrilling action movies ever made. I somewhat surprisingly enjoyed ‘Live Free Or Die Hard’, any movie that features dialogue like this gets my vote: Matt Farrell: “You just killed a helicopter with a car!” John McClane: “I was out of bullets.”
