Great Odin’s raven! Son of a bee-sting! By the beard of Zeus! Paramount Pictures has released this debut teaser trailer for the long-awaited comedy sequel, ’Anchorman: The Legend Continues.’ The film has Adam McKay returning to the directors chair as well as co-writing the script with Will Ferrell. Alongside Ferrell reprising his role as Ron Burgundy, original cast members Steve Carell, David Koechner and Paul Rudd also star (there’s currently no word on whether Christina Applegate and Fred Willard are returning).  The original, ‘Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy,’ was released in 2004…….and it’s awesome, hilariously awesome! Look out for ‘Anchorman: The Legend Continues’ in 2013.

Speaking to EW about the teaser trailer, Adam McKay recently said, “Paramount came to us with the idea of the teaser, and since we’re writing the script, it was a good chance to see the characters and hang out with the actors to inspire writing. All of the actors (Ferrell, Steve Carell, Paul Rudd and David Koechner) slipped right into character and they all looked amazing. Paul has a beard and we’re thinking of keeping it. Kind of an Eddie Rabbit-meets-Serpico look.” Don’t bother scanning the teaser for clues about the sequel’s plot, though McKay says they have ruled a few things out: “Nothing’s set. Right now I can say for sure there is no Ghost Rider cameo or a scene where Ron fights a wolverine on a nose-diving helicopter. We’re either going to shoot the movie in 3-D or 1/2 D.”
