While speaking to MTV Splash Page for ‘Snow White and the Huntsman,’ Chris Hemsworth commented on a number of topics revolving around his Marvel sequel, ‘Thor 2.’  Speaking about the films director, Alan Taylor, who’s also a director and producer on HBO’s awesome series ‘Game of Thrones,’ the actor had the following to say: “Alan Taylor is directing, and he’s one of the producers and directors of ‘Game of Thrones.’ I love that sort of mythical element, that there was an organic real world there, and I think Asgard and Thor’s ethereal universe could be injected with that,” Hemsworth said. “It could be more sort of tangible. So more locations, less green screen. I think the Viking influence that that sort of world came from. It should feel [tangible]. It should exist more, instead of too shiny, clean, golden.”

While he hasn’t seen the script yet, Hemsworth shed some light on what he believes the direction ‘Thor 2′ will be going in: “Marvel has a habit of, the day before we shoot, handing us the script and saying, ‘Quick, learn your lines!'” he said with a laugh — he said that what he has seen is “exciting.” It seems like Hemsworth is very concerned with keeping the sequel to 2011’s “Thor” “relatable,” and he thinks a more grounded Asgard and inclusion of scenes on Earth will do the trick. “You’ve always got to tie in Earth, I think. But Thor in the comic books, I found, that after the initial kind of establishing the character got more interesting because there were so many realms and things to explore,” he said.

Also, considering Thanos appeared in the after-credits sequence for ‘The Avengers,’ Hemsworth was asked whether we’ll see a return of the super-villain in ‘Thor 2,’ We won’t because, according to Hemsworth, he would be “too easy.” “We need a bigger fish,” the Aussie said with a laugh. Let the speculation continue!

Chris Hemsworth, Idris Elba, Anthony Hopkins and Natalie Portman will return to star in ‘Thor 2′ alongside Tom Hiddleston. Marvel Studios’ Kevin Feige will produce the sequel to this summer’s blockbuster ‘Thor,’ which has grossed over $448 million worldwide to date. ‘Thor 2′ is set to be released November 15th, 2013. Director Alan Taylor is an accomplished TV director whose credits also include ‘Boardwalk Empire,’ ‘Mad Men,’ ‘The Sopranos’ and ‘Nurse Jackie.’
