Entertainment Weekly has debuted these first official images of Clint Eastwood, Amy Adams and Justin Timberlake in Robert Lorenz’s baseball drama ‘Trouble With the Curve.’ Aside from being Eastwood’s longtime producing partner, Lorenz has been assistant director on many of the legendary actor/director’s films, including ‘Million Dollar Baby,’ ‘Mystic River’ and ‘Blood Work.’ For ‘Trouble With the Curve,’ Eastwood stars as Gus, an aging Atlanta Braves scout with vision problems whose daughter, Mickey (Amy Adams), reluctantly agrees to be his eyes on a crucial recruiting trip. John Goodman co-stars as Pete Klein, Gus’ boss in the Braves clubhouse, who urges Mickey to help her father, while Timberlake stars as an ex-pitcher turned scout who tries to woo Mickey.

‘Trouble With the Curve’ is Clint Eastwood’s first film acting under another director in almost 20 years. Speaking about Eastwood’s character, Robert Lorenz, who shared best-picture Oscar nominations with him on ‘Mystic River’ and ‘Letters From Iwo Jima,’ says, “He gets his chance to prove whether he still has value as a scout—and as a dad. They’re having trouble communicating. They always have, and now they’ve come to a point in the relationship where it’s either going to change or it’s not. He needs a little help, and she decides it’s worth the effort.” ‘Trouble With the Curve’ is pencilled in for a September 28th release in the US and November 30th release in the UK.
