New Trailer For ‘Deadfall’ – Starring Eric Bana, Olivia Wilde & Charlie Hunnam
Magnolia Pictures has unveiled the trailer, via Hulu, for Stefan Ruzowitzky’s (The Counterfeiters) crime-thriller ‘Deadfall.’ The film follows two siblings, Addison (Eric Bana) and Liza (Olivia Wilde), who are on the run with a bag full of cash from a casino heist gone wrong. When a car accident leaves their wheel man and a state trooper dead, they split up and make a run for the Canadian border in the worst of circumstances: a near whiteout blizzard. While Addison heads cross-country, creating mayhem in his wake, Liza is picked up by ex-boxer Jay (Charlie Hunnam), en-route for a Thanksgiving homecoming with his parents, June (Sissy Spacek) and retired sheriff Chet (Kris Kristofferson). It’s there the siblings are reunited in a terse and thrilling showdown that pushes the bonds of family to the limit.
Headlined by Eric Bana, Olivia Wilde, Charlie Hunnam, Sissy Spacek, Kris Kristofferson, Kate Mara, and Treat Williams, ‘Deadfall’ is pencilled in for a December 7th release. Austrian director Stefan Ruzowitzky won the Academy Award for best foreign-language film in 2008 with ‘The Counterfeiters.’ First-time screenwriter Zach Dean’s story for ‘Deadfall’ is described as a “tightly wound, twisting-and-turning suspense story always puts character first—providing a generous amount of character depth for these ace actors to play with, and proving that no good guy is all good, and no bad guy all bad.”
