New ‘Skyfall’ Behind-The-Scenes Images – Plus Adele Teases Her 007 Theme Song

The Daily Mail has released this stunning collection of stills and set images from the epic 11-minute opening sequence of the 23rd James bond adventure, ‘Skyfall.’ In related 007 news, Adele has tweeted what appears to be a picture of the sheet music for her reported ‘Skyfall’ theme song. The theme song would be Adele’s first new song since her ’21′ album was released at the beginning of 2011. Showbiz 411 describe the track as “classic 007″, adding,  “It’s an ominous, dramatic ballad, with lots of gorgeous horn flourishes peeking out through Adele’s now trademark vocals. It’s also fresh, new, and original.” They even provide some lyrics of the song, “Part of the chorus of the song goes: “Let the sky fall/Let it crumble/We will stand tall/And face it all/together.” The introductory lines, which follow a piano solo, are: “This is the end/Hold your breath and count to ten/Feel the Earth move and then/Hear my heart burst again.” As the release of ‘Skyfall’ is less than a month away in the UK, expect official news regarding the film’s theme song shortly. The cast also includes Naomie Harris as a field agent named Eve, Javier Bardem as Silva; the stories leering and sinisterly creepy lead villain, Albert Finney, Ben Whishaw as Q; MI5′s resident gadgets man, Tonia Sotiropoulou, Rory Kinnear as Bill Tanner; the MI6 Chief of Staff, Ola Rapace, Bérénice Marlohe as the “glamorous and enigmatic” Sévérine, and Ralph Fiennes as Gareth Mallory - who’s been described as “darkly complex.” ‘Skyfall’ will begin its worldwide roll-out in the UK and Ireland on October 26th, with a North American release following on November 9th.

I’ve got incredibly high hopes for ‘Skyfall,’ I love the films trailers and I’m a huge fan of Daniel Craig’s more gritty and intense incarnation of James Bond. This latest 007 chapter was shot at Pinewood Studios in Buckinghamshire, Scotland, Whitehall in London, Shanghai and Istanbul. The screenplay is written by Neal Purvis, Robert Wade and John Logan. The Director of Photography is Roger Deakins, a nine-time Oscar nominee who previously shot the films ‘Jarhead’ and ‘Revolutionary Road’ for Mendes. Action specialist Alexander Witt is the 2nd Unit Director. Gary Powell is Stunt Co-ordinator, Chris Corbould is SFX Supervisor and Steve Begg is Visual Effects Supervisor, all of whom have worked on previous Bond films.
