Adapted from Lee Child’s best-selling crime-thriller novel ‘One Shot,’ ‘Jack Reacher’ is lead by Tom Cruise as the stories eponymous antihero; an ex-military investigator tasked with tracking down a sniper accused of killing five people. Opening in cinemas December 21st in the US and December 26th in the UK, ‘Jack Reacher’ co-stars Rosamund Pike, Richard Jenkins, Robert Duvall, David Oyelowo, and legendary filmmaker Werner Herzog, who will play a villain. Christopher McQuarrie, who wrote ‘The Usual Suspects’ and ‘Valkyrie,’ is directing from a script he penned.

The synopsis for the film is as follows: “When a gunman takes five lives with six shots, all evidence points to the suspect in custody. On interrogation, the suspect offers up a single note: “Get Jack Reacher!” So begins an extraordinary chase for the truth, pitting Jack Reacher against an unexpected enemy, with a skill for violence and a secret to keep.”
