Four New ‘Les Misérables’ Featurettes – Starring Hugh Jackman, Russell Crowe & Anne Hathaway

With the hugely anticipated release of ‘Les Misérables’ fast approaching, Universal Pictures has unveiled these four featurettes for Tom Hooper’s (The King’s Speech) adaptation of Victor Hugo’s 1862 novel and subsequent stage musical. The four behind-the-scenes videos spotlight the film’s costume design, hair and makeup, original song “suddenly”, and production design. Arriving in cinemas from December 25th in the US and January 11th in the UK, ‘Les Misérables’ stars Hugh Jackman as Jean Valjean, Russell Crowe as Inspector Javert, Anne Hathaway as Fantine, Amanda Seyfried as Cosette, Samantha Barks as Eponine, Aaron Tveit as Enjolras, Eddie Redmayne as Marius, Sacha Baron Cohen as Monsieur Thenardierto, and Helena Bonham Carter as Madame Thénardier. In ‘Les Misérables,’ Jean Valjean (Jackman), a Frenchman imprisoned for stealing bread, has broken his parole and must flee from police Inspector Javert (Crowe). The pursuit consumes both men’s lives, and after two decades on the run, Valjean finds himself in the midst of the 1832 June Rebellion in Paris.
