Deadline reveal that Josh Hutcherson is in talks to join Benicio Del Toro in ‘Paradise Lost,’ the drama about notorious drug kingpin Pablo Escobar. ‘Paradise Lost’ was penned and will mark the directing debut of Andrea di Stefano (Life of Pi). Hutcherson is linked to play the principal character in the fact-based tale, Nick, a young Irish surfer who visits his brother in Colombia. There he meets the love of his life, until he meets her uncle Pablo (Del Toro). The film will begin production in Panama next March for a 11-week shoot.

Josh Hutcherson would take the ‘Paradise Lost’ job after wrapping ‘The Hunger Games: Catching Fire,’ the second installment of ‘The Hunger Games.’ He also lends his voice to the Fox Animation feature ‘Epic,’ alongside Colin Farrell, Amanda Seyfried, Christoph Waltz, Pitbull, Jason Sudeikis, Steven Tyler, Aziz Ansari, Blake Anderson, Judah Friedlander and Beyoncé Knowles.
