Maggie Gyllenhaal Joins Michael Fassbender & Domhnall Gleeson In ‘Frank’
Albuquerque Business report that Maggie Gyllenhaal has joined Michael Fassbender, Domhnall Gleeson and Scoot McNairy in Lenny Abrahamson’s (What Richard Did) ‘Frank.’ The comedy film is about a young wannabe musician, Jon (Gleeson), who discovers he’s bitten off more than he can chew when he joins an eccentric pop band led by the mysterious and enigmatic Frank (Fassbender). There’s currently no word on how Gyllenhaal fits into the story.
’Frank’ is written by Jon Ronson (The Men Who Stare at Goats) and Peter Straughan (Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy, The Men Who Stare At Goats), and has been developed by Film4 who will also co-finance the film with Bord Scannán na hEireann/ the Irish Film Board. Production on ‘Frank’ commences in January in Albuquerque, New Mexico for a late 2013 release. Source: The Film Stage.
