First Looks At Christian Bale & Amy Adams On The Set Of David O. Russell’s “Abscam” Film

These first images have arrived online of Christian Bale and Amy Adams on the Boston set of David O. Russell’s next film. Following the success of O. Russell’s Oscar-nominated ‘Silver Linings Playbook,’ Columbia Pictures recently announced that they’ve pencilled in this still-untitled (formerly titled ‘American Bullshit’) ”Abscam” project for December. The film will see a limited release on December 13th and will expand everywhere on Christmas Day. Alongside Bale and Adams, the film stars Jeremy Renner, Alessandro Nivola, Louis CK, and O. Russell’s ‘Silver Lining Playbook’ leads Bradley Cooper and Jennifer Lawrence.

Written by Eric Singer and David O. Russell, the drama is based on the true story of a notorious financial con artist and his mistress/partner in crime, who were forced to work with an out of control federal agent to turn the tables on other con artists, mobsters, and politicians. At the epicenter of the entire tale, is the passionate and volatile leader of the New Jersey state assembly who is also the local hero and mayor of impoverished Camden. Expect more news soon.
