Long speculated to be playing Felicia Hardy/Black Cat in ‘The Amazing Spider-Man 2,’ Felicity Jones revealed last month that she will “sort of” be playing a “baddie” in the highly anticipated sequel, saying, “It’s TOP secret. I can tell you that she’s sort of on the baddie’s side, but I can’t explain much more than that.” This comment follows on from a semi-confirmation when she was asked straight up if she was looking forward to everyone seeing her as Black Cat in the superhero sequel, to which she replied, “Um, well, uh, possibly. I don’t know. Yeah, I kind of—it’s um. Yeah, if that happens, that would be wonderful.”

Speaking to View London, Felicity Jones has now revealed some pretty heavy spoilers for the franchise as a whole. Though the actress once again wouldn’t say the name of her character, citing that she’s sworn to secrecy, she did drop some pretty big character information (spoilers) “It’s all quite shrouded in secrecy, but I’m the Goblin’s girlfriend – I’m in a relationship with him, and his accomplice. I’m on the dark side.” From her comments, it seems as if Jones is once again confirming she is Felicia Hardy/Black Cat in the film and presumably that Dane DeHaan’s Harry Osborn (could be Chris Cooper’s Norman Osborne?) will take up the Green Goblin mantel at some point in the series. I guess we’ll have to wait and see!

Set for release on May 2nd, 2014, ‘The Amazing Spider-Man 2’ stars Andrew Garfield (Peter Parker/Spider-Man), Emma Stone (Gwen Stacy), Jamie Foxx (Max Dillon/Electro), Paul Giamatti (Aleksei Sytsevich/The Rhino), Dane DeHaan (Harry Osborne), Colm Feore, Chris Cooper (Norman Osborne), Felicity Jones, B.J. Novak, Sarah Gadon and Sally Field (May Parker).

‘The Amazing Spider-Man 2′ is directed by Marc Webb from a screenplay by Alex Kurtzman, Roberto Orci and Jeff Pinkner, with a previous draft by James Vanderbilt, and based on the Marvel Comic Book by Stan Lee and Steve Ditko. Avi Arad and Matt Tolmach are the producers. The film’s key behind-the-scenes team includes director of photography Dan Mindel, production designer Mark Friedberg, editors Pietro Scalia and Elliot Graham, and costume designer Deborah L. Scott. It was recently announced that the third installment of ‘The Amazing Spider-Man’ franchise has been penciled in for a June 10th, 2016 release, with the fourth installment following on May 4th, 2018.

In ‘The Amazing Spider-Man 2,’ for Peter Parker life is busy – between taking out the bad guys as Spider-Man and spending time with the person he loves, Gwen, high school graduation can’t come quickly enough. Peter hasn’t forgotten about the promise he made to Gwen’s father to protect her by staying away – but that’s a promise he just can’t keep. Things will change for Peter when a new villain, Electro, emerges, an old friend, Harry Osborn, returns, and Peter uncovers new clues about his past.
