Elizabeth Olsen 2013 Elizabeth Olsen Talks Avengers: Age Of Ultron & Godzilla

Shortly after Marvel (finally) confirmed that Elizabeth Olsen will make her debut as Scarlet Witch in’ Avengers: Age of Ultron,’ the actress talked to AintItCool on the press campaign for ‘Oldboy’ about the role. “She’s nuts, she’s crazy. She has more things wrong with her than any character I’ve ever played. She can tell you where an object has been, she can tell you what your future is, she can connect with the dead and people from other universes, and she’s the only person in this universe who’s capable of doing that. She’s unbelievable; it’s so cool. I grew up loving ‘Star Wars’ and ‘Lord of the Rings,’ and anything that has this other type of world or universe to it is so fun.”

Elizabeth Olsen also talked a bit about her character in ‘Godzilla,’ for which she co-stars opposite her ‘Avengers: Age of Ultron’ brother, Aaron Taylor-Johnson. “It’s Aaron Taylor-Johnson’s film, but the ensemble, we all are somehow connected to Aaron’s character, He’s the root, and I play his wife and I’m the person who holds down the San Francisco prospective of it all. I’m a nurse and I work trying take care of this chaos. ‘Godzilla’ is just so deserving of a good American remake, and I really hope we did it and I really feel like we did.”

Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Elizabeth Olsen join the Avengers family as the brother-sister duo of Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch in Marvel’s ‘Avengers: Age of Ultron,’ the highly-anticipated sequel to 2012′s ‘Marvel’s The Avengers.’ Taylor-Johnson broke out with his roles as Dave Lizewski in the ‘Kick-Ass’ franchise and with his portrayal of a young John Lennon in ‘Nowhere Boy,’ for which he won an Empire Award for Best Newcomer. Since then, Taylor Johnson has starred in 2012′s critically-acclaimed ‘Anna Karenina’ and  Oliver Stone’s ‘Savages.’ Since making her big screen debut in 2011 with ‘Silent House’ and ‘Martha Marcy May Marlene,’ for which the actress garnered a number of awards and nominations, Olsen has gone on to star alongside the likes of Robert DeNiro and Sigourney Weaver in ‘Red Lights,’ Josh Brolin and Samuel L. Jackson in director Spike Lee’s ‘Oldboy.’ Taylor-Johnson and Olsen will share the screen as leads in the ‘Godzilla’ remake scheduled for a May 2014 release.

A few months ago Marvel announced that James Spader will face off against Earth’s Mightiest Heroes as the villain in ‘Avengers: Age of Ultron.’ The Emmy Award-winning actor will play Ultron in the Avengers’ much anticipated return to the big screen from writer/director Joss Whedon. The film comes to cinemas on May 1st, 2015. ‘The Avengers’ was went on to earn $1.5 billion worldwide, making it the third-largest grossing movie of all time.

Jackson as Nick Fury, Mark Ruffallo as Bruce Banner/Hulk, and Chris Evans as Captain America. Expect more news shortly.

The key cast for ‘Godzilla’ includes Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Ken Watanabe, Elizabeth Olsen, Juliette Binoche, David Strathairn, Sally Hawkins and Bryan Cranston.
