Talking to The Examiner (via JurassicWorld.org), Sam Neill revealed that it doesn’t look like he’ll be reprising his Dr. Alan Grant role in Colin Trevorrow’s ‘Jurassic World.’ Neill said, “I’m sure it’s going to be great, but they don’t need me… I think there’s a whole new cast and a whole new look at things, and I think that’s great. As I said, I’d never say no, but I wish them [well].”

Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard, Nick Robinson, Irrfan Khan and Ty Simpkins are set to star in ‘Jurassic World.’ Colin Trevorrow is directing from a script he wrote with Derek Connolly, though plot details remain under wraps. Trevorrow’s first film, ‘Safety Not Guaranteed,’ starred Pratt’s ‘Parks and Recreation’ love interest Aubrey Plaza. ‘Jurassic Park’ director Steven Spielberg is producing the sequel with Frank Marshall and Pat Crowley, and Universal will release ‘Jurassic World’ on June 12th, 2015.
