Without exaggerating one bit, I audibly exclaimed “YES!” to myself was when it was recently announced that Disney and Pixar are officially developing a sequel to ‘The Incredibles.’ And while very little is known about the long-awaited film, except for the fact that ‘The Incredibles’ creator Brad Bird is writing, Digital Spy asked Samuel L. Jackson about the film, and whether his character Frozone is returning. “Every time I run into Brad (Bird) he always tells me Frozone is going to be part of whatever’s going on, so I have to believe thatI guess they would be the Incredibles without Frozone, but I think Frozone would be a wonderful, wonderful addition to what’s already there. I’m just looking forward to seeing what Jack-Jack turned into.” You can check out the video of Jackson’s comments below.

‘The Incredibles’ was written and directed by Brad Bird and released by Walt Disney Pictures in 2004. It was the sixth film produced by Pixar Animation Studios. The film’s title is the name of a family of superheroes who are forced to hide their powers and live a quiet suburban life. Mr. Incredible’s desire to help people draws the entire family into a battle with an evil villain and his killer robot.

The film performed brilliantly at the box office, grossing a hefty $631 million worldwide during its original theatrical run. ‘The Incredibles’ was met with high critical acclaim, garnering high marks from professional critics and audiences, and provoking commentary on its themes. Many critics called it the best film of 2004, receiving the 2004 Annie Award for Best Animated Feature, along with two Academy Awards. It became the first entirely animated film to win the prestigious Hugo Award for Best Dramatic Presentation.

No word on ‘The Incredibles 2′ release date at this moment in time. Fingers crossed we get to hear some concrete news about this project shortly.
