Warner Bros. Pictures send word that they’ve moved Andy Serkis’ directorial debut ‘Jungle Book: Origins’ back by one year from October 21st, 2016 to October 6th, 2017. ‘Jungle Book: Origins’ will be a mix of motion-capture, CG animation, and live-action. The film stars Rohan Chand (Bad Words) as Mowgli, Benedict Cumberbatch as the tiger Shere Khan, Christian Bale as the panther Bagheera, Cate Blanchett will voice Kaa, Tom Hollander as the jackal Tabaqui, Peter Mullan as Akela, Naomie Harris as Nisha, Eddie Marsan as Vihaan, and Serkis will play Baloo the Bear.
Andy Serkis is perhaps best known for his performance capture roles as Gollum in ‘The Lord of the Rings’ trilogy and ‘The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey,’ King Kong in the eponymous 2005 film, Caesar in ‘Rise of the Planet of the Apes’ and ‘Dawn of the Planet of the Apes,’ and Captain Haddock in Steven Spielberg’s ‘The Adventures of Tintin.’ He’s also earned a Golden Globe Award nomination for his portrayal of serial killer Ian Brady in the British television film ‘Longford’; and he was nominated for a BAFTA Award for his portrayal of New Wave and punk musician Ian Dury in the biopic ‘Sex & Drugs & Rock & Roll.’
Disney and Lucasfilm have come up with a pretty awesome way to introduce fans to the characters shown in the ‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’ trailer: images styled after Topps trading cards. It has been revealed that John Boyega’s Stormtrooper character is named Finn, Oscar Isaac’s character is named Poe Dameron, Daisy Ridley’s character is named Rey, the mysterious Sith is Kylo Ren, and the “ball droid” is BB-8. A week on Sunday marks one year until the release of the upcoming film, so we might be getting some more reveals then?
Opening on December 18th, 2015, ‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’ also stars Andy Serkis, Adam Driver, Domhnall Gleeson, Max von Sydow, Lupita Nyong’o, and Gwendoline Christie, with Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, Mark Hamill, Anthony Daniels, Peter Mayhew and Kenny Baker reprising their roles from previous films. “The Force Awakens” is set approximately 30 years after “Return of the Jedi”.

Open Road Films has unleashed this first trailer for the Sean Penn, Idris Elba, Jasmine Trinca, Mark Rylance, Ray Winstone and Javier Bardem-starring action thriller, ‘The Gunman.’ Based on Jean-Patrick Manchette’s ‘Prone Gunman’ novel and a script by Peter Travis (‘Dredd’ director), the film follows Penn’s Jim Terrier, an international operative who is betrayed by the organization he worked for, and must go on the run in a relentless game of cat and mouse across Europe. Helmed by ‘Taken’ director Pierre Morel, a March 20th, 2015 UK and US release date has been set for ‘The Gunman.’
From Warner Bros Pictures comes these four character posters for Lana and Andy Wachowski’s ‘Jupiter Ascending.’ Starring the likes of Mila Kunis, Channing Tatum, Sean Bean, Eddie Redmayne, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Douglas Booth, Tuppence Middleton, Doona Bae, James D’Arcy and Tim Pigott-Smith, the film opens on February 6th, 2015.

This new trailer has arrived online for ‘Kill Me Three Times,’ the new crime thriller from Kriv Stenders (Red Dog, Boxing Day). The stellar cast for the film, which is awaiting a release date, includes Simon Pegg, Sullivan Stapleton, Alice Braga, Teresa Palmer, Bryan Brown, Callan Mulvey and Luke Hemsworth.
‘Kill Me Three Times’ takes place in a sundrenched Australian surfing town, where a young singer, portrayed by Alice Braga, is the thread that binds three tales of murder, blackmail and revenge. Simon Pegg plays a mercurial assassin, who is hired by her wealthy husband (Callan Mulvey), but there is more than one person gunning for her. Sullivan Stapleton plays a gambling addict that attempts to pay off his debts through a risky life insurance scam, whilst Teresa Palmer plays a small town Lady Macbeth who masterminds the scheme. Bryan Brown, a corrupt cop, also tries to get his cut and Luke Hemsworth portrays Braga’s love interest, a local surfer who hopes to rescue the young woman from Pegg’s telescopic sights.
