With the unveiling of the official ‘X-Men: Days of Future Past’ website, 20th Century Fox has let out the hatch these new character images and bios for the film. Acting as a sequel to both ‘X-Men: The Last Stand’ and ‘X-Men: First Class,’ ‘X-Men: Days of Future Past’ includes cast members from both: Hugh Jackman, Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen, Halle Berry, Shawn Ashmore, Ellen Page, and Daniel Cudmore return from ‘X-Men: The Last Stand,’ while James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Jennifer Lawrence, Nicholas Hoult and Lucas Till return from ‘X-Men: First Class.’
Peter Dinklage, Omar Sy, Booboo Stewart, Fan Bingbing, Adan Canto, Evan Peters and Josh Helman round out the film’s principal cast. Co-written, produced and directed by Bryan Singer, ‘X-Men: Days of Future Past’ is based on the 1981 Uncanny X-Men storyline “Days of Future Past” by Chris Claremont and John Byrne. The film is scheduled to hit both 2D and 3D theaters on May 23rd.
Closely following the release of the film’s first trailer, Marvel has unveiled this new batch of images from ‘Guardians of the Galaxy.’ Written and directed by James Gunn, the all-star cast for ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ includes Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Lee Pace, Michael Rooker, Karen Gillan, Djimon Hounsou, Benicio del Toro, John C. Reilly, Glenn Close, Gregg Henry, Bradley Cooper and Vin Diesel. ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ opens on August 1st.
Gareth Evans has set loose this great poster for ‘The Raid 2.’ Once again written and directed by Evans, ‘The Raid 2′ picks up right where the first film left off and follows Rama (Iko Uwais) as he goes undercover and infiltrates the ranks of a ruthless Jakarta crime syndicate in order to protect his family and uncover the corruption in his own police force. In addition to Uwais, the international cast includes Tio Pakusadewo, Putra Arifin Scheunamann, Julie Estelle, Alex Abbad and Roy Marten. Opening in the US on March 28th, the film will have its World Premiere this week at the 2014 Sundance Film Festival.
‘The Raid: Redemption’ premiered at the 2011 Toronto International Film Festival, where it took home the Audience Award in the Midnight Madness section. It went on to play at Sundance and SXSW, before a theatrical release in the United States through Sony Pictures Classics. Expect word on the UK release of ‘The Raid 2′ shortly.

Variety bring word that Brie Larson is in talks to join the comedy ‘Trainwreck,’ which is directed by Judd Apatow (The 40-Year-Old Virgin, Knocked Up, This Is 40) and stars Amy Schumer and Bill Hader. Schumer scripted ‘Trainwreck’ for Universal and developed it with Apatow, who is also producing with Barry Mendel through his Apatow Productions. Plot details are being kept secret at the moment, but the film is slated to hit the big screen on July 24th, 2015.
First rumored last week, Sony Pictures Classics has today officially announced that they have acquired all rights in North America, Latin America, Australia and New Zealand to Zhang Yimou’s ‘Coming Home,’ starring Gong Li. The film, currently in post-production, is produced by Bill Kong and LeVision Pictures’ Zhang Zhao. Lava Bear Films’ David Linde executive produced.
Inspired by Yan Geling’s “The Criminal Lu Yanshi” with a screenplay written by Jingshi Zou, ‘Coming Home’ is a romance drama chronicling the journey of a Chinese dissident (Chen Daoming) from the 1920′s to the 1990′s. ‘Coming Home’ marks the twelfth collaboration between the Sony Pictures Classics team and Zhang Yimou, dating back to the 1991 Orion Classics release of ‘Raise the Red Lantern.’ Other films include ‘House of Flying Daggers,’ ‘Shanghai Triad,’ ‘The Story of Qiu Ju’ and ‘Curse of the Golden Flower.’ The film will also be Sony Pictures Classics’ sixth collaboration with Producer Bill Kong which began in 2000 with Ang Lee’s Academy Award winning ’Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon.’
