Twentieth Century Fox has unveiled this first trailer for ‘Snoopy and Charlie Brown: A Peanuts Movie,’ which opens on November 6th, 2015. For the first time ever, Snoopy, Charlie Brown and the rest of the gang we know and love from Charles Schulz’s timeless ‘Peanuts’ comic strip will hit the big screen. The most popular and influential comic strip of all time, “Peanuts” was read every day by 355 million people in 75 countries. In addition to the famous strip, “Peanuts” holiday television specials such as “It’s The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown” have won Emmy’s and continue to be among the highest rated prime time TV specials.
In PEANUTS, a 3D, CGI animated comedic adventure, Snoopy, the world’s most lovable beagle – and flying ace! – embarks upon his greatest mission as he and his team take to the skies to pursue their arch-nemesis, while his best pal Charlie Brown begins his own epic quest back home.
‘The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1′ finds Katniss Everdeen (Jennifer Lawrence) in District 13 after she literally shatters the games forever. Under the leadership of President Coin (Julianne Moore) and the advice of her trusted friends, Katniss spreads her wings as she fights to save Peeta (Josh Hutcherson) and a nation moved by her courage. ‘The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1′ is directed by Francis Lawrence from a screenplay by Danny Strong and Peter Craig. The novel on which the film is based is the third in a trilogy written by Suzanne Collins that has over 65 million copies in print in the U.S. alone.
‘The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1’ arrives in cinemas on November 21st, nearly a year to the date after the previous installment, ‘The Hunger Games: Catching Fire,’ – and, about a year before ‘The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2′ swoops into theaters on November 20th, 2015. The likes of Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson, Liam Hemsworth, Woody Harrelson, Elizabeth Banks, Julianne Moore, Jeffrey Wright, Jena Malone, Sam Claflin, Philip Seymour Hoffman, Natalie Dormer, Evan Ross, Mahershala Ali, Gwendoline Christie, Wes Chatham, Eldon Henson, Donald Sutherland and Willow Shields star.
In your third and most poignant turn as Katniss, you get a chance to portray the character at this heightened juncture as she emerges from distress to take her first steps into leadership and as a symbol. Was that exciting to portray…?
Jennifer Lawrence: For sure. When I was first reading the books, before I even knew that these would be movies, I was very excited for Katniss to come into her own as a leader – and she is still a very reluctant hero. In the first movie she wanted to save her family and her sister. In the second, she tried to save her friends and herself. Now, with “Mockingjay”, she starts to realize the impact she has on the wider world and that she has a choice to lead this battle for what is right. And that really just excited me as a reader, but then as an actor I was excited about that change and that kind of development.
This new “Sadness” character poster and teaser video has arrived online for a film I’m ridiculously excited for, Pixar’s ‘Inside Out.’ From the tepuis of South America to a monster-filled metropolis, Academy Award-winning director Pete Docter (Monsters, Inc., Up) has taken audiences to unique and imaginative places. In 2015, he will take us to the most extraordinary location of all – inside the mind of an 11-year-old named Riley.
Growing up can be a bumpy road, and it’s no exception for Riley, who is uprooted from her Midwest life when her father starts a new job in San Francisco. Like all of us, Riley is guided by her emotions – Joy (Amy Poehler), Fear (Bill Hader), Anger (Lewis Black), Disgust (Mindy Kaling) and Sadness (Phyllis Smith). The emotions live in Headquarters, the control center inside Riley’s mind, where they help advise her through everyday life. As Riley and her emotions struggle to adjust to a new life in San Francisco, turmoil ensues in Headquarters. Although Joy, Riley’s main and most important emotion, tries to keep things positive, the emotions conflict on how best to navigate a new city, house and school. ‘Inside Out’ is scheduled to hit theaters on June 19th, 2015.
Hopefully preceding the release of the film’s first trailer, this new “Masrani Global” viral site has been officially launch for director Colin Trevorrow’s hugely anticipated ‘Jurassic World.’ The website provides us with a tonne of new information about Islar Nublar, InGen’s new corporate owner Masrani Global, Simon Masrani (Irrfan Khan), ‘Jurassic Park’ character Dr. Henry Wu (B.D. Wong), and the titular theme park.
Opening on June 12th, 2015, the long awaited sequel stars the likes of Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard, Nick Robinson, Ty Simpkins, Omar Sy, Jake Johnson, Judy Greer, Irrfan Khan, Andy Buckley, B.D. Wong and Vincent D’Onofrio. Colin Trevorrow is directing the film from a script he wrote with Derek Connolly. Trevorrow’s first film, ‘Safety Not Guaranteed,’ starred Chris Pratt’s ‘Parks and Recreation’ love interest Aubrey Plaza. Set 22 years after the original film, ‘Jurassic Park’ director Steven Spielberg is producing the sequel with Frank Marshall and Pat Crowley. Michael Giacchino will compose the score.
