During a recent chat with IGN for ’Saving Mr. Banks,’ Colin Farrell commented on the reports linking him to Duncan Jones’ ‘Warcraft’ movie. “Don’t know what’s happening, man. I read the script, if that’s any use to you, and it’s amazing.” He continues, “Duncan was cool. I sat with Duncan for awhile and read the script, loved the script, and we was as cool as can be. I don’t know what’s happening with the film. I don’t know where they are in the process.”
Asked if he’s a ‘World of Warcraft’ fan, Colin Farrell said, “Not at all, no. The script was just really, really cool, and it’s just a world that I never explored — and it’s a really big and fantastical world. I can’t imagine what he, being as visually gifted as he is, Duncan, and what he did on Moon with, like, a dime, I can’t imagine what he’d do with this Warcraft.” Asked if he can say what character he’s up for, Farrell said, “Can I? I probably shouldn’t. I don’t even know, actually, I’ll just say that! I don’t even know. We were just talking, and Duncan just said, “There might be something in it for you!” And I said, “Catering?” [Laughs]“

Cross Creek Pictures and Smuggler Films send word that Imogen Poots is attached to star as the young ingénue, “Dee Moray,” in Todd Field’s (In the Bedroom, Little Children) ’Beautiful Ruins,’ based on the #1 New York Times best-selling novel by Jess Walter, which has sold more than a million copies and been translated into 25 languages. ‘Beautiful Ruins’ was adapted by Field and Walter.
