Danny Boyle’s Michael Fassbender-Led Steve Jobs Film To Shoot At The Garage Where 1st Apple Computer Was Built
With filming set to begin shortly, CBS San Francisco have put together a video looking at a key place that the Danny Boyle-directed Steve Jobs Biopic will shoot in. The film is gearing up to start production in the neighborhood of Los Altos, California, where 2066 Crist Drive resides – the home where Jobs and Steve Wozniak built the first Apple Computer. Jobs’ childhood home – and its garage – in Los Altos have been a tourist attraction in Silicon Valley for years. The filmmakers are bringing in authentic props from the 1970s, including a geek-chic plaid Thermos, reel-to-reel tape player and an old computer motherboard.
To date, the cast includes Michael Fassbender as Steve Jobs, Seth Rogen as Steve Wozniak, Katherine Waterston as Chrisann Brennan, Kate Winslet as Laurene Powell Jobs, Jeff Daniels as John Sculley, Perla Haney-Jardine as Lisa Jobs, and Michael Stuhlbarg as Andy Hertzfeld, the computer scientist and inventor who was part of the original Apple development team that came up with Macintosh Operating System. He worked closely with Jobs until he left for Google in 2005.

Back in October 2013 it was first revealed that Nikolaj Arcel – director of the Oscar nominated Danish film ‘A Royal Affair’ starring Alicia Vikander and Mads Mikkelsen – will helm ‘Fables,’ DC/Vertigo’s long-running and acclaimed comic book series for David Heyman and Jeffrey Clifford of Heyday Films. Now during a recent interview with Comicbook Resources, David Heyman provides the first update we’ve had on the adaptation for a while, revealing that Jane Goldman (co-writer of ‘Kick-Ass,’ ‘X-Men: First Class,’ ‘Kingsman: The Secret Service’ and more) is currently working on the latest draft of the script. As for why the project has taken so long to get off the ground, the ‘Harry Potter,’ ‘Gravity’ and ‘Paddington’ producer said, “these things always take longer than you want. And Fables is not easy by any means, but I think it’ll be pretty great”.
