Columbia Pictures has set loose this new batch of images from the upcoming musical drama ‘Annie,’ which is directed by Will Gluck (Easy A, Friends With Benefits) and produced by Jay-Z, Jada Pinkett Smith and Will Smith. Lead by ‘Beasts of a Southern Wild’ and ’12 Years a Slave’ star Quvenzhané Wallis in the title role and Jamie Foxx in the role of Benjamin Stacks, an update of the character Daddy Warbucks, ‘Annie’ is a contemporary adaptation of the musical of the same name, which in turn is based upon the 1924 comic strip ‘Little Orphan Annie’ by Harold Gray. Set to hit the big screen from December 19th, the stellar supporting cast for the film also includes Cameron Diaz, Rose Byrne, Bobby Cannavale, Tracie Thoms and Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje.
Warner Bros. Pictures have let out the hatch this new collection of images from Wally Pfister’s ‘Transcendence,’ the directional debut of the Oscar-winning cinematographer. Best known for his work with Christopher Nolan, Pfister won an Academy Award for Best Cinematography for ‘Inception.’ The sci-fi thriller has a stellar cast in Johnny Depp, Morgan Freeman, Paul Bettany, Rebecca Hall, Cole Hauser, Kate Mara, Clifton Collins Jr, Cory Hardrict and Cillian Murphy. Samuel L. Jackson’s Nick Fury & Robert Redford’s Alexander Pierce Highlighted In New ‘Captain America: The Winter Soldier’ Clip
With the release of ‘Captain America: The Winter Soldier’ on the horizon, Marvel has sent over this latest clip from the film, featuring Robert Redford as Head of S.H.I.E.L.D. Alexander Pierce and Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury. Directing the film is the team of Anthony and Joe Russo (Welcome to Collinwood) from a screenplay written by the ‘Captain America: The First Avenger’ screenwriters Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely. Alongside Jackson, Marvel’s ‘Captain America: The Winter Soldier’ returns Chris Evans as the iconic Super Hero character Steve Rogers/Captain America, along with Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow. ‘Captain America: The Winter Soldier’ is set for release on April 4th in the US and March 28th in the UK.
Paramount Pictures has unleashed, via Yahoo, this IMAX poster for ‘Transformers: Age of Extinction.’ Starring the likes of Mark Wahlberg, Jack Reynor, Nicola Peltz, Kelsey Grammar, Han Geng, Stanley Tucci, Sophia Myles, Li Bingbing and TJ Miller, ‘Transformers: Age Of Extinction’ is set for a June 27th release in the US and a July 10th bow in the UK. ’Transformers: Age of Extinction’ is the fourth installment in the live-action ’Transformers’ series, and takes place four years after ‘Transformers: Dark of the Moon.’ Like its predecessors, ‘Transformers: Age Of Extinction’ is directed by Michael Bay.

In a joint statement, the New York City Police Department and the Mayor’s office officially closed their investigation into gross and systematic ethics abuses at Oscorp Industries. Shockingly, the investigation resulted in no discovery of criminal mischief or charges filed, despite the indisputable fact that a lizard man rampaged through the city last year, causing millions of dollars in damage.
