By the beard of Zeus the hammer of Thor- the footage that was shown at Comic Con has now finally hit the internet (I’m pretty sure unofficially). Marvel look like they’re going all out it with this flick, it looks immensely ambitious. That’s probably the reason I’m pretty skeptimistic. It could either be completely awesome, or it could be ludicrous. I like what I see though.

Paramount Pictures and Marvel Entertainment present the epic adventure, “Thor,” which spans the Marvel Universe from present day Earth to the realm of Asgard. At the center of the story is the mighty Thor (Chris Hemsworth), a powerful but arrogant warrior whose reckless actions reignite an ancient war. Thor is cast down to Earth by his father Odin (Anthony Hopkins) and is forced to live among humans. A beautiful, young scientist, Jane Foster (Natalie Portman), has a profound effect on Thor, as she ultimately becomes his first love. It’s while here on Earth that Thor learns what it takes to be a true hero when the most dangerous villain of his world sends the darkest forces of Asgard to invade Earth. Thor is Directed by Kenneth Branagh and stars: Chris Hemsworth, Natalie Portman, Tom Hiddleston, Anthony Hopkins, Rene Russo, Stellan Skarsgard, Jaimie Alexander, Kat Dennings, Ray Stevenson, Josh Dallas, Tadanobu Asano, Idris Elba, Clark Gregg, Colm Feore.

Holy mother….this looks so bad. Maybe it’s due to me being in my mid twenties and having all the subconscious pressures of ‘man points’ clouding my judgement, but to me this looks like a steaming turd of epic proportions….EPIC PROPORTIONS. The live-action/CGI mix is kinda weird as well. Lastly the poster is creepy as hell, it looks like both Yogi and Boo Boo are high as Giraffe nuts, they’re both staring into the depth’s of my soul – what the fudge?!?!

Jellystone Park has been losing business, so greedy Mayor Brown (Daly) decides to shut it down and sell the land. That means families will no longer be able to experience the natural beauty of the outdoors — and, even worse, Yogi (Aykroyd) and Boo Boo (Timberlake) will be tossed out of the only home they’ve ever known. Faced with his biggest challenge ever, Yogi must prove that he really is “smarter than the average bear” as he and Boo Boo join forces with their old nemesis Ranger Smith (Cavanagh) to find a way to save Jellystone Park from closing forever. Warner Bros. Pictures will release Yogi Bear 3D in US cinemas December 17th, while you UK release is set to follow on February 11th.

Now THIS is a visual extravaganza, subtle is most certainly not the word you would use to describe this trailer for Zack Snyder’s (300, Watchmen) Sucker Punch, it’s pretty much incomprehensible. The best way I can possibly sum it up is to say that it’s basically awesomeness crammed into 87 seconds. We get dragons, ninjas, insane asylums, robots, orcs, Nazis, and last but not least hot girls with machine guns – where do I sign up?

“Sucker Punch” is an epic action fantasy that takes us into the vivid imagination of a young girl whose dream world provides the ultimate escape from her darker reality. Unrestrained by the boundaries of time and place, she is free to go where her mind takes her, but her incredible adventures blur the lines between what’s real and what is imaginary…with potentially tragic consequences. Cast: Emily Browning, Abbie Cornish, Vanessa Hudgens, Jamie Chung, Jena Malone, Carla Gugino, Jon Hamm, Scott Glenn and Oscar Isaac. Sucker Punch hits theaters on March 25th 2011.

After being unveiled at Comic Con, this teaser trailer – hosted by Captain Jack Sparrow (Johnny Depp) – for Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides has made it’s way online . The clip is pretty fun but to be honest I’m not really that excited for this movie, I do love the Jack Sparrow character, I’m just tired of this series now, do we really need a fourth film? I guess at least they’ve swapped Kiera Knightly for Penelope Cruz and Ian McShane is involved .

Captain Jack Sparrow (Johnny Depp) finds himself on an unexpected journey to the fabled Fountain of Youth when a woman from his past (Penelope Cruz) forces him aboard the Queen Anne’s Revenge, the ship of the formidable pirate Blackbeard (Ian McShane). ‘Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides’ will be directed by Rob Marshall, and star Johnny Depp, Penelope Cruz, Ian McShane, Geoffrey Rush, Óscar Jaenada, Kevin McNally, Stephen Graham, Sam Claflin, Gemma Ward, Greg Ellis and Astrid Berges-Frisbey. The film will be released on May 20, 2011.

Holy hell and sh*t fire, this trailer is grade A badass motherf*ckery!!! If you like no hold barred carnage, this film is most certainly for you, in the trailer Danny Trejo (Machete) uses intestines as a rope……INTESTINES AS A ROPE! I really don’t know what to say, it’s just nuts, it looks like so much fun though. Warning this trailer is very NSFW.

Robert Rodriguez wrote the script and co-directed the movie with his longtime editor Ethan Maniquis. The action/exploitation film follows Danny Trejo as a badass Mexican out to mess with The Man. Robert De Niro, Jessica Alba, Michelle Rodriguez and Lindsay Lohan co-star. 20th Century Fox is releasing the film on September 3rd in the US and October 29th in the UK.

Tom Cruise, Cameron Diaz and director James Mangold were in town last night for the UK premiere of their upcoming flick Knight and Day. You can check out what they had to say for themselves on the red carpet below. Also if you’ve got a thing for hearing hundred‘s of women (and men) shout WE LOVE YOU TOM, this video is a must!  The response to this flick in the states has been pretty mixed, I’m still looking forward to it myself, it looks like it could be good popcorn fun – in an insanely over the top way. I’m an admirer of Director James Mangold as well, he’s made some great films – Walk The Line, 3:10 To Yuma, Girl, Interrupted and Identity. Knight and Day is in UK cinemas the 6th of August.

The Guardian have released the first UK trailer for Stephen Frears Tamara Drewe, the big screen adaptation of Posy Simmonds’ comic strip of the same name. I’ve been looking forward to this for the last few months now, I’m a fan of the cast and Stephen Frears is a great director, not everything he makes is for my personal tastes but Tamara Drewe is definitely up my alley, I love a twisted tale! Once a shy and unattractive teenager from a small rural idyll, Tamara’s (Gemma Arterton) past catches up with her when she returns to the village and has to face an old flame. With a rock-star boyfriend back in London she gets caught in a love triangle and becomes the focus of gossiping locals. The film co-stars Dominic Cooper, Roger Allam, Luke Evans, Bill Camp and Tamsin Greig.

This looks bat sh*t crazy, actually that phrase doesn’t do it’s wackiness justice. It looks as mad as a bottle of chips, yes as mad as a bottle of chips!!! This trailer – which was debuted at Comic Con today – has completely won me over, the film looks incredibly entertaining. I had my slight qualms with director Robert Schwentke due to his previous film’s (which include Flightplan & The Time Traveller’s Wife), yet after seeing this video I‘m completely invested. The ensemble cast is stacked with class – Bruce Willis, Morgan Freeman, John Malkovich, Richard Dreyfuss, Helen Mirren and Karl Urban.

Red is the story of Frank Moses (Willis), a former black-ops CIA agent, who is now living a quiet life. That is until the day a hi-tech assassin shows up intent on killing him. With his identity compromised and the life of the woman he cares for, Sarah (Mary-Louise Parker), endangered, Frank reassembles his old team (Morgan Freeman, John Malkovich and Helen Mirren) in a last ditch effort to survive. Also in the cast are Karl Urban, Brian Cox, Richard Dreyfuss, Ernest Borgnine, Julian McMahon, James Remar and Rebecca Pidgeon.

Bloody hell this trailer is awesome for shawsome! This debuted at Comic-Con just a few hours ago and now via the good folk over at Yahoo you can see it below. It’s been 28 years in the making but the sequel to Tron is just 5 months away now, after watching the trailer December couldn’t come any sooner, it looks mesmerizing! I remember loving the original as a kid but to be honest I’ve totally forgotten what it was like, nostalgia can be a lying, cheating, deceiving b*stard sometimes. Disney will release Tron Legacy in Disney Digital 3D on December 17th, 2010.

Sam Flynn (Garrett Hedlund), the tech-savvy 27-year-old son of Kevin Flynn (Jeff Bridges), looks into his father’s disappearance and finds himself pulled into the digital world of Tron where his father has been living for 25 years. This film looks like it will be ten kinds of awesome, it looks so intense! The people behind the film are definitely going for the Hitchcock suspenseful mystery angle with the marketing. Buried is easily one of my most anticipated films of 2010, the buzz from the Sundance Film Festival was glowing and as I’ve stated before I’ve loved the marketing for the film, hopefully it will live up to my great expectations. Buried is set for UK release October 1st 2010, while the US get’s it September 24th 2010.

Paul Conroy is not ready to die. But when he wakes up 6 feet underground with no idea of who put him there or why, life for the truck driver and family man instantly becomes a hellish struggle for survival. Buried with only a cell phone and a lighter, his contact with the outside world and ability to piece together clues that could help him discover his location are maddeningly limited. Poor reception, a rapidly draining battery, and a dwindling oxygen supply become his worst enemies in a tightly confined race against time – fighting panic, despair and delirium, Paul has only 90 minutes to be rescued before his worst nightmare comes true.
