First Trailer & Poster For ‘Dallas Buyers Club’ – Starring Matthew McConaughey, Jennifer Garner & Jared Leto
Focus Features has revealed this first trailer for ‘Dallas Buyers Club.’ In this fact-based drama, Matthew McConaughey portrays real-life Texas electrician Ron Woodroof, an ordinary man who found himself in a life-or-death battle with the medical establishment and pharmaceutical companies.
In 1985, Ron was blindsided with an HIV diagnosis and given 30 days to live. With medications still restricted in the US and the country still divided over how to combat the virus, Ron procured non-toxic alternative treatments from all over the world through both legal and illegal means. To avoid government sanctions against selling non-approved medicines and supplements, Ron established a “buyers club” for fellow HIV-positive people, giving them access to his supplies. ‘Dallas Buyers Club’ also stars Jennifer Garner, Jared Leto, Steve Zahn, Dallas Roberts, Griffin Dunne, Denis O’Hare, and Bradford Cox. The Jean-Marc Vallée directed film is set for November 1st.
Premiere has revealed this new international trailer for the upcoming biopic, ‘Diana.’ The film, previously reported under its working title of ‘Caught In Flight,’ is directed by Oliver Hirschbiegel (Academy-Award nominated for ‘Downfall’) from a screenplay by Stephen Jeffreys (The Libertine). Leading the cast is Academy-Award nominated actress Naomi Watts as the eponymous and iconic Princess. Joining Watts is Naveen Andrews as Dr Hasnat Khan, Douglas Hodge and Juliet Stevenson.
‘Diana’ is described as a compelling portrait of Diana, Princess of Wales during the final two years of her life. It charts how finding true personal happiness allowed her to achieve her defining successes, as she evolved into a major international campaigner and humanitarian. Reports say that the story is about “Diana’s covert love affair with Dr. Hasnat Khan, a Pakistani heart surgeon. This happened in the last two years of her life, before she met Dodi Fayed, and the need for privacy led to her meeting her lover in disguises. This gave her a sense of living an anonymous life, but her incredible worldwide fame became an issue.” ‘Diana’ is set for September 20th in the UK and a November 1st bow in the US.

Warner Bros. Pictures has unveiled two new TV spots for Alfonso Cuarón’s (Children Of Men, Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban) ’Gravity.’ The sci-fi thriller, which stars George Clooney and Sandra Bullock as astronauts stranded in space after their shuttle is caught in a meteor shower, is pencilled in for a October 4th bow in 2D, 3D and IMAX.
‘Gravity’ is written by Alfonso Cuarón and his son, Jonás Cuarón. In the film, Sandra Bullock plays Dr. Ryan Stone, a brilliant medical engineer on her first shuttle mission, with veteran astronaut Matt Kowalsky (George Clooney) in command of his last flight before retiring. But on a seemingly routine spacewalk, disaster strikes. The shuttle is destroyed, leaving Stone and Kowalsky completely alone–tethered to nothing but each other and spiraling out into the blackness. The deafening silence tells them they have lost any link to Earth…and any chance for rescue. As fear turns to panic, every gulp of air eats away at what little oxygen is left. But the only way home may be to go further out into the terrifying expanse of space.
