Hopefully foreshadowing the release of the film’s first trailer, this “extended preview” featurette has landed online for Disney•Pixar’s ‘Monsters University,’ the much-anticipated ‘Monsters, Inc.’ prequel. Scheduled for release on June 21th in the US and July 12th in the UK, ’Monsters University’ looks at the relationship between Mike and Sulley during their days at the University of Fear – when they weren’t necessarily the best of friends. The voice cast features John Goodman, Steve Buscemi, Dave Foley, Julia Sweeney, Joel Murray, and Peter Sohn. The official synopsis for ‘Monsters University’ can be read below. Source: Pixar Planet.
Mike Wazowski and James P. Sullivan are an inseparable pair, but that wasn’t always the case. From the moment these two mismatched monsters met they couldn’t stand each other. “Monsters University” unlocks the door to how Mike and Sulley overcame their differences and became the best of friends. Screaming with laughter and fun, “Monsters University” is directed by Dan Scanlon (“Cars,” “Mater and the Ghostlight,” “Tracy”) and produced by Kori Rae (“Up,” “The Incredibles,” “Monsters, Inc.”). The film opens in U.S. theaters on June 21, 2013, and will be shown in Disney Digital 3D™ in select theaters.
This debut trailer has arrived online for the Paul Walker-starring post-Hurricane Katrina thriller, ‘Hours.’ The film, directed by Eric Heisserer, revolves around what happens after Hurricane Katrina hits the hospital where Walker’s child was just born in tragic circumstances. The hospital is evacuated and he is told to stay with his baby, who is on a ventilator, and they are soon cut off from the world by power outages and rising flood waters. Genesis Rodriguez, Judd Lormand and Nick Gomez also star. Expect a confirmed release date soon.
With the film landing in cinemas on February 14th, 20th Century Fox has unleashed this new clip from the fifth installment in the Die Hard series, ’A Good Day To Die Hard.’ Lead by Bruce Willis, who’s reprising his iconic role of John McClane, and Jai Courtney, who’s portraying McClane’s son Jack, ‘A Good Day To Die Hard’ co-stars Sebastian Koch, Yulia Snigir, Cole Hauser, Amaury Nolasco, Megalyn Echikunwoke and Anne Vyalitsyna. Directed by John Moore (Max Payne), ‘A Good Day To Die Hard’ brings John McClane to Russia for more action-packed shenanigans. My interview with Jai Courtney for the film can be read here (more to come).
The synopsis for ‘A Good Day To Die Hard’ is as follows: “Since the first Die Hard in 1988, John McClane has found himself in the wrong place at the wrong time, with the skills and attitude to always be the last man standing, making him enemy #1 for terrorists the world over. Now, McClane faces his greatest challenge ever, this time on an international stage, when his estranged son Jack is caught up in the daring prison escape of a rogue Russian leader, and father and son McClane must work together to keep each other alive and keep the world safe for democracy.”
