The tale follows a perfectly packaged pop star, played by Gugu Mbatha-Raw, who’s been groomed for stardom from a young age by her overbearing, opportunistic mother (Minnie Driver). Also starring Nate Parker, Danny Glover, Jordan Belfi, Aml Ameen and Machine Gun Kelly, ‘Beyond the Lights’ opens on November 14th in the US. The-Dream is creating all the original music for film, which will be choreographed by Laurieann Gibson.
From The Weinstein Company comes this new trailer for Ned Benson’s ‘The Disappearance Of Eleanor Rigby.’ The romantic drama was actually crafted as two separate movies, each focusing on the entirety of a relationship between two people. The version released theatrically will follow the more traditional form, from both perspectives, and clock in at two hours. All three versions will be released by The Weinstein Company in some form this fall. “Them” will premiere in the US on September 26th while “Him and “Her” will be released about a month after in select art house cinemas. No word on international release dates as yet. The likes of William Hurt, Viola Davis, Bill Hader, Jess Weixler, Ciaran Hinds, Isabelle Huppert and Nina Arianda co-star.
