Brutal Red-Band Clip From ‘The Raid’

JoBlo has unleashed this new red-band clip from writer/director Gareth Evans’ insane yet thoroughly awesome action flick ‘The Raid.’ The film stars stars Iko Uwais, Doni Alamsyah, Ananda George, Pierre Gruno, Yayan Ruhian, Ray Sahetapy, Tegar Satrya, and Verdi Solaiman, while Linkin Park‘s Mike Shinoda is on score duty. ‘The Raid’ was a massive hit at TIFF, winning the much coveted Midnight Audience Award. Sony Pictures Classics will release the film in cinemas March 23rd.
As a rookie member of an elite special-forces team, Rama (Iko Uwais) is instructed to hang back during a covert mission involving the extraction of a brutal crime lord from a rundown fifteen-story apartment block. But when a spotter blows their cover, boss Tama (Ray Sahetaphy) offers lifelong sanctuary to every killer, rapist and thief in the building in exchange for their heads. Now Rama must stand in for the team’s fallen leader (Joe Taslim) and use every iota of his fighting strength – winding through every floor and every room to complete the mission and escape with his life.
New ‘Snow White and The Huntsman’ Sneak Peek Video

The official Facebook page for ‘Snow White and the Huntsman’ has released this new “sneak peek” look at Rupert Sanders’ highly anticipated fairy tale re-imagining. ‘Snow White and The Huntsman’ is a re-telling of the classic Brothers Grimm fairy tale, it will feature an expanded role for the part of the Huntsman. In the original version he is ordered to take Snow White into the woods and kill her, but instead lets her go. In this new take the Huntsman serves as Snow White’s mentor, teaching Snow White to fight and survive against the evil queen. The film has Kristen Stewart portraying Snow White, Chris Hemsworth as the Huntsman, Sam Claflin as Prince Charmant and Charlize Theron on board to portray the Evil Queen. Noah Huntley, Ray Winstone, Ian McShane, Bob Hoskins, Toby Jones, Eddie Marsan, Steven Graham and Nick Frost co-star. ‘Snow White and The Huntsman’ is scheduled for a June 1st release date. The action adventure movie is planned to be a trilogy.

The breathtaking new vision of the legendary tale is from Joe Roth, the producer of Alice in Wonderland, producer Sam Mercer (The Sixth Sense) and acclaimed commercial director and state-of-the-art visualist Rupert Sanders.
New Poster & Insane Full-Length Trailer For ‘Project X’

Warner Bros, via iTunes Movie Trailers, has released this new full-length trailer and poster for the mad-as-a-box-of-frogs looking comedy ‘Project X.’ Starring newcomers Miles Teller, Oliver Cooper, Jonathan Daniel Brown, Kirby Bliss Blanton, Dax Flame, Nichole O’Connor, and Alexis Knapp, the film is produced by ‘The Hangover’ and ‘Old School’ helmer Todd Phillips, and directed by Nima Nourizadeh. ’Project X’is set for release March 2nd.
“Project X” follows three seemingly anonymous high school seniors as they attempt to finally make a name for themselves. Their idea is innocent enough: let’s throw a party that no one will forget… but nothing could prepare them for this party. Word spreads quickly as dreams are ruined, records are blemished and legends are born. “Project X” is a warning to parents and police everywhere. This film has been rated R for crude and sexual content throughout, nudity, drugs, drinking, pervasive language, reckless behavior and mayhem-all involving teens.
Debut Teaser Trailer For ‘Resident Evil: Retribution’

Screen Gems has let out the hatch this debut teaser trailer for ‘Resident Evil: Retribution,’ the fifth installment in their game-to-film franchise. In the film, Milla Jovovich returns as Alice, whilst new additions to the series include Bingbing Li as Ada Wong, Johann Urb as Leon Kennedy, and Kevin Durand as Barry Burton. Written and directed by Paul Anderson, the likes of Michelle Rodriguez, Sienna Guillory, Shawn Roberts, and Oded Fehr return from previous films. ‘Resident Evil: Retribution’ opens in 3D on September 14th. Side-note: the product placement in this trailer is pretty ridiculous, and by ‘pretty ridiculous’ I mean VERY ridiculous.

New Poster For ‘Red Tails’ – Starring Cuba Gooding Jr, Terrence Howard & David Oyelowo

Lucas Film has released this new poster for Anthony Hemingway’s upcoming war drama ‘Red Tails.’ Lucas executive produces the flick while Hemingway (Treme, The Wire) is on directional duty. ‘Red Tails’ is based on the heroic exploits of the Tuskegee Airmen, the first all African-American combat squadron who fought in World War II. The film features a stellar cast in Cuba Gooding Jr, Terrence Howard, Bryan Cranston, Nate Parker, David Oyelowo, Tristan Wilds, Cliff Smith aka Method Man, Kevin Phillips, Aml Ameen, Rick Otto, Lee Tergesen, Andre Royo, Ne-Yo, Elijah Kelley, Marcus T. Paulk, Leslie Odom Jr., Michael B. Jordan and Daniela Ruah. ‘Red Tails’ is released in US cinemas January 20th. There’s currently no UK release date pencilled in for the film, hopefully that changes soon *nudges Lucas Film and 20th Century Fox*.

Two New TV Spots For James Watkins’ ‘The Women In Black’ – Starring Daniel Radcliffe

Momentum Pictures/CBS Films has unleashed these two TV spots for the Daniel Radcliffe-starring supernatural horror/thriller ‘The Woman In Black,’ James Watkins’ upcoming adaptation of the novel by Susan Hill. Watkins was the helmer behind ‘Eden Lake,’ a movie I’m a massive fan of. The films UK release date is Febuary 10th, while it’s set for release Febuary 3rd in the US. Alongside Daniel Radcliffe, ‘The Woman In Black’ stars Ciarán Hinds, Janet McTeer, Alisa Khazanova, Mary Stockley and Lucy May Barker.
Based on the classic ghost story, THE WOMAN IN BLACK tells the tale of Arthur Kipps (Daniel Radcliffe), a lawyer who is forced to leave his young son and travel to a remote village to attend to the affairs of the recently deceased owner of Eel Marsh House.
Working alone in the old mansion, Kipps begins to uncover the town’s tragic and tortured secrets and his fears escalate when he discovers that local children have been dying under mysterious circumstances. When those closest to him become threatened by the vengeful woman in black, Kipps must find a way to break the cycle of terror.
