The new film directed by acclaimed Japanese filmmaker Hideo Nakata – the man behind the original Ring, Ring 2 and Dark Water. The psychological thriller is based around a group of teenagers who encourage each other’s destructive behaviour and stars a great young cast in Aaron Johnson, Imogen Poots, Matthew Beard, Hannah Murray, Daniel Kaluuya and Megan Dodds. Chatroom will be released in UK cinemas December 22nd.
When jaded teens Jim, Eva, Emily, and Mo meet William online, they’re seduced by his charisma. But William isn’t what he seems. He’s calculating and manipulative and doesn’t have time for people in the real world. Jim is vulnerable and has no idea how dangerous his new friendship with William will be. When Jim confesses he’s on anti-depressants, William knows he’s found a victim. He vows to help Jim get off his drugs, and the rest of the group fall in line. What begins as friendly advice to help Jim becomes twisted, and Eva and Mo realize the deadly game William’s playing, but the wheels are in motion. Jim is set on a path of self-destruction and is going to do the unthinkable. As Eva, Emily, and Mo try to save Jim, William begins a terrifying game of cat and mouse, chasing them across the Internet, shutting down their systems and cutting them off from his victim. It’s now a race against time to save Jim, but the clock is ticking… and we fear someone must die.

DreamWorks have just unveiled this new poster for Kung Fu Panda 2 via IMP. I’ve got high hopes for this, the first film was witty, visually stimulating and from start to finish a heap of fun. New Poster For ‘Season of the Witch’ – Starring Nicolas Cage & Ron Perlman
Nov 11th
Season of the Witch, the long delayed supernatural thriller starring Nicolas Cage has found itself a new poster in time for it’s January 7th 2011 release. The numerous delays haven’t instilled a great amount of hope in me for this film (it was originally scheduled for a March 19th 2010 release), the trailer wasn’t exactly the most confidence inducing thing I’ve seen either. I do love Nicolas Cage though, he’s always entertaining, even in bad movies he cracks me up. Season of the Witch also stars Ron Perlman, Stephen Campbell Moore, Robert Sheehan, Claire Foy, Ulrich Thomsen, Stephen Graham and Christopher Lee.
In the supernatural thriller Season of the Witch, Nicolas Cage stars as a 14th century Crusader who returns with his comrade (Ron Perlman) to a homeland devastated by the Black Plague. A beleaguered church, deeming sorcery the culprit of the plague, commands the two knights to transport an accused witch (Claire Foy) to a remote abbey, where monks will perform a ritual in hopes of ending the pestilence.
A priest (Stephen Campbell Moore), a grieving knight (Ulrich Thomsen), an itinerant swindler (Stephen Graham) and a headstrong youth who can only dream of becoming a knight (Robert Sheehan) join a mission troubled by mythically hostile wilderness and fierce contention over the fate of the girl. When the embattled party arrives at the abbey, a horrific discovery jeopardizes the knight’s pledge to ensure the girl fair treatment, and pits them against an inexplicably powerful and destructive force.
Wes Anderson’s Upcoming Movie ‘Moon Rise Kingdom’ Attracts The Likes Of Bruce Willis, Edward Norton, Bill Murray & Frances McDormand
Nov 10th
According to those scoopmeisters over at Deadline, Wes Anderson’s upcoming movie ‘Moon Rise Kingdom’ has an all star collection of actors circling it, with Bruce Willis, Edward Norton, Bill Murray, Frances McDormand and Tilda Swinton all reportedly in talks to star in the film. A new Wes Anderson project is always good news. I’m a big fan of Anderson’s surreal quirkiness.
‘Moon Rise Kingdom’ is Anderson’s first live action film since 2007′s The Darjeeling Limited. The film is set in the 1960s, and centres around two young adults who fall in love and run away. Leaders in their New England town are sticking the idea that they’ve disappeared and go in search of them. Norton will play a scout leader who brings his charges on a search. Willis is in talks to play the town sheriff who’s also looking, and who is having an affair with the missing girl’s mother, the role McDormand is in talks to play. Murray, a regular in Anderson films, will play the girl’s father, who has his own issues. Shooting is scheduled to begin next spring
Third Trailer For Little Fockers – Starring Robert De Niro, Ben Stiller & Dustin Hoffman
Nov 10th

Yahoo! Movies! have got their hands on the third trailer for ‘Little Fockers’. Which thankfully is a step up from the last two, it still doesn’t look amazing but at least it made me laugh slightly – especially the last section of the trailer. That being said the joke that the ‘Fockers’ surname is one letter away from a swear word has already gone to the redundant school of redundancy for the chronically redundant. Hopefully my reservations are unfounded, the cast is top-notch – Robert De Niro, Ben Stiller, Owen Wilson, Blythe Danner, Jessica Alba, Laura Dern, Harvey Keitel, Teri Polo, Dustin Hoffman and Barbra Streisand. Little Fockers comes to theaters December 22nd, 2010
The test of wills between Jack Byrnes (Robert De Niro) and Greg Focker (Ben Stiller) escalates to new heights of comedy in the third installment of the blockbuster series—Little Fockers. Laura Dern, Jessica Alba and Harvey Keitel join the returning all-star cast for a new chapter of the worldwide hit franchise. It has taken 10 years, two little Fockers with wife Pam (Polo) and countless hurdles for Greg to finally get “in” with his tightly wound father-in-law, Jack. After the cash-strapped dad takes a job moonlighting for a drug company, however, Jack’s suspicions about his favorite male nurse come roaring back. When Greg and Pam’s entire clan—including Pam’s lovelorn ex, Kevin (Owen Wilson)—descends for the twins’ birthday party, Greg must prove to the skeptical Jack that he’s fully capable as the man of the house. But with all the misunderstandings, spying and covert missions, will Greg pass Jack’s final test and become the family’s next patriarch…or will the circle of trust be broken for good?
First Trailer & Poster For Kevin Macdonald’s ‘The Eagle’ – Starring Channing Tatum, Jamie Bell & Mark Strong
Nov 10th
Apple have unveiled the first trailer and poster for Kevin Macdonald’s (State of Play, The Last King of Scotland) upcoming Roman war/action flick ‘The Eagle’. The story is based off the 1954 novel ‘The Eagle of the Ninth’ written by Rosemary Sutcliff, and stars Channing Tatum, Jamie Bell, Donald Sutherland, Mark Strong, and Tahar Rahim. I’m a complete sucker for sword and sandals movies, this looks right up my street!
In 140 AD, two men – master and slave – venture beyond the edge of the known world on a dangerous and obsessive quest that will push them beyond the boundaries of loyalty and betrayal, friendship and hatred, deceit and heroism…The Roman epic adventure THE EAGLE stars Channing Tatum and Jamie Bell and is directed by Academy Award winner Kevin Macdonald. 20 years earlier, Rome’s 5,000-strong Ninth Legion, under the command of Flavius Aquila, marched north carrying their treasured golden Eagle emblem. They never returned; Legion and Eagle simply vanished into the mists. Hearing a rumor that the Eagle has been seen in a tribal temple in the far north, Flavius’ son Marcus (Tatum), determined to restore the tarnished reputation of his father, is galvanized into action. Accompanied only by his slave Esca (Bell), Marcus sets out into the vast and dangerous highlands of Scotland – to confront its savage tribes, make peace with his father’s memory, and retrieve the hallowed Eagle. Along the way Marcus realizes that the mystery of his father’s disappearance may well be linked to the secret of his own slave’s identity and loyalty – a secret all the more pressing when the two come face-to-face with the warriors of the fearsome Seal Prince (Tahar Rahim).
