The film is set to be released June 3rd 2011 so expect to see more images and footage VERY soon (more than likely early Febuary in time for the Superbowl). ”X-Men: First Class charts the epic beginning of the X-Men saga, and reveals a secret history of famous global events. Before mutants had revealed themselves to the world, and before Charles Xavier and Erik Lensherr took the names Professor X and Magneto, they were two young men discovering their powers for the first time. Not archenemies, they were instead at first the closest of friends, working together with other Mutants (some familiar, some new), to stop Armageddon. In the process, a grave rift between them opened, which began the eternal war between Magneto’s Brotherhood and Professor X’s X-Men.”

New Featurette For Kevin Macdonald’s ‘The Eagle’ – Starring Channing Tatum, Jamie Bell & Mark Strong
Jan 14th
This new featurette has been released online for Kevin Macdonald’s (State of Play, The Last King of Scotland) upcoming Roman epic ‘The Eagle’. The movie is based off the 1954 novel ‘The Eagle of the Ninth’ written by Rosemary Sutcliff, and stars Channing Tatum, Jamie Bell, Donald Sutherland, Mark Strong, and Tahar Rahim. I’m a complete sucker for sword and sandals movies. Any film that features an abundance of cowls, shields, blood, excessive mud, swords, spears and fire lances is certain to tickle my fancy!
In 140 AD, two men – master and slave – venture beyond the edge of the known world on a dangerous and obsessive quest that will push them beyond the boundaries of loyalty and betrayal, friendship and hatred, deceit and heroism…The Roman epic adventure THE EAGLE stars Channing Tatum and Jamie Bell and is directed by Academy Award winner Kevin Macdonald. 20 years earlier, Rome’s 5,000-strong Ninth Legion, under the command of Flavius Aquila, marched north carrying their treasured golden Eagle emblem. They never returned; Legion and Eagle simply vanished into the mists. Hearing a rumor that the Eagle has been seen in a tribal temple in the far north, Flavius’ son Marcus (Tatum), determined to restore the tarnished reputation of his father, is galvanized into action. Accompanied only by his slave Esca (Bell), Marcus sets out into the vast and dangerous highlands of Scotland – to confront its savage tribes, make peace with his father’s memory, and retrieve the hallowed Eagle. Along the way Marcus realizes that the mystery of his father’s disappearance may well be linked to the secret of his own slave’s identity and loyalty – a secret all the more pressing when the two come face-to-face with the warriors of the fearsome Seal Prince (Tahar Rahim).
New Trailer For ‘Priest’ – Starring Paul Bettany, Karl Urban & Christopher Plummer
Jan 11th
Yahoo have unveiled this new theatrical trailer for Scott Stewart’s upcoming movie ‘Priest’ . I have to say it looks A LOT better than I was expecting, I’ve got a soft spot for apocalyptic, futuristic, monster filled flicks – this trailer ticked all those boxes. It’s also refreshing seeing vampires that don’t bloody sparkle! Paul Bettany, Karl Urban and Christopher Plummer are always cool beans with me. I’m still not fully convinced though. Priest will be hitting cinemas May 13th, 2011.
Priest is set in a world ravaged by centuries of war between man and vampires. Paul Bettany is Priest, a legendary warrior priest during the last Vampire War, who now lives in obscurity among the other human inhabitants in walled-in dystopian cities controlled by the Church. But when his 18-year-old niece is abducted by a murderous pack of vampires in the desolate wastelands outside, Priest breaks his sacred vows and ventures out to find her and seek vengeance upon those responsible, especially their brutal leader (Karl Urban). Priest is joined on his crusade by his niece’s boyfriend, Hicks (Cam Gigandet), a local outpost sheriff, and Priestess (Maggie Q), a member of his former legion of vampire-killers who has otherworldly fighting skills.
