Jeff Wadlow has revealed this first clip from ‘Kick-Ass 2.’ The superhero sequel is directed by Wadlow, with ‘Kick-Ass’ helmer Matthew Vaughn co-producing and co-writing the screenplay. An adaptation of the Mark Millar and John Romita Jr comic, ‘Kick-Ass 2′ is set for a July 19th release in the UK and a August 16th release in the US.
For ‘Kick-Ass 2,’ Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Chloë Grace Moretz are reprising their respective roles of Kick-Ass and Hit-Girl, while Christopher Mintz-Plasse will return as the villainous Red Mist. Newcomers to the sequel include Jim Carrey as The Colonel, Donald Faison as Doctor Gravity, Olga Kurkulina as Mother Russia, Robert Emms as Insect Man, Lindy Booth as Night Bitch, Daniel Kaluuya as Black Death, and John Leguizamo as Javier, a bodyguard who is assigned to protect Red Mist (though that name will soon become “The Motherf–er” in the sequel).
