Dec 16th
The sensationalist brand of toilet paper and inexpensive kindling Daily Mail have got their hands on the first photo of Glenn Close on the set of Albert Nobbs, which is currently shooting in Dublin, Ireland.
Miss Close, who is also producing the film, said she had been so moved by the tale that she has spent the past 15 years trying to bring it to the screen.
She admitted that playing Albert Nobbs would be the challenge of her career.
But she added: ‘I believe in this story and its potential to take everyone on a sensuous, funny, heart-breaking, wildly unexpected ride.’
The film will centre around Glenn Close’s title character – a woman in 19th century Ireland who disguises herself as a man in order to survive and work, but whose deception leads her to an unusual love triangle.
Oscar winner Glenn Close co-wrote, will star in and produce ‘Albert Nobbs,’ a feature film adaptation of the Broadway hit ‘The Singular Life of Albert Nobbs.’ The film is directed by Rodrigo Garcia (Nine Lives) and also stars Aaron Johnson, Mia Wasikowska and Jonathan Rhys Myers.

New Kick Ass Red Band Trailer
Feb 19th

A new Red Band Trailer for Kick Ass has been released online, it’s safe to say from watching it I’m sold, it wasn’t much of a doubt from watching the other trailers and clips but this has just cemented it further. The film looks completely nuts!
Kick Ass tells the story of average teenager Dave Lizewski (Aaron Johnson), a comic-book fanboy who decides to take his obsession as inspiration to become a real-life superhero. As any good superhero would, he chooses a new name — Kick-Ass — assembles a suit and mask to wear, and gets to work fighting crime. There’s only one problem standing in his way: Kick-Ass has absolutely no superpowers. His life is forever changed as he inspires a subculture of copy cats, is hunted by assorted violent and unpleasant characters, and meets up with a pair of crazed vigilantes, including an 11-year-old sword-wielding dynamo, Hit Girl (Chloë Moretz) and her father, Big Daddy (Nicolas Cage).
