Two New Images From ‘The Expendables 2′ – Featuring Sylvester Stallone & Yu Nan

Lionsgate has unleashed, courtesy of Twitch, these first two looks at Yu Nan (Maggie) alongside Sylvester Stallone (Barney Ross) in Simon West’s upcoming action-hero blockbuster ‘The Expendables 2.’ The testosterone-filled cast also includes the likes of Arnold Schwarzenegger, Bruce Willis, Jason Statham, Dolph Lundgren, Terry Crews, Jet Li, Chuck Norris, Liam Hemsworth and Jean-Claude Van Damme. ’The Expendables 2′ is scheduled for a August 17th release date.
The Expendables are back and this time it’s personal… Barney Ross (Sylvester Stallone), Lee Christmas (Lee Statham), Yin Yang (Jet Li), Gunnar Jensen (Dolph Lundgren),Toll Road (Randy Couture) and Hale Caesar (Terry Crews) — with newest members Billy the Kid (Liam Hemsworth) and Maggie (Yu Nan) aboard — are reunited when Mr. Church (Bruce Willis) enlists the Expendables to take on a seemingly simple job. The task looks like an easy paycheck for Barney and his band of old-school mercenaries. But when things go wrong and one of their own is viciously killed, the Expendables are compelled to seek revenge in hostile territory where the odds are stacked against them. Hell-bent on payback, the crew cuts a swath of destruction through opposing forces, wreaking havoc and shutting down an unexpected threat in the nick of time — six pounds of weapons-grade plutonium; enough to change the balance of power in the world. But that’s nothing compared to the justice they serve against the villainous adversary who savagely murdered their brother. That is done the Expendables way….

New Image Of Jaimie Alexander On The Set Of Kim Jee-Woon’s ’The Last Stand’

Jaimie Alexander (Thor) has tweeted this new pic of her on the set of Kim Jee-Woon’s ’The Last Stand.’ In the film Arnold Schwarzenegger stars as Sheriff Owens, a man who has resigned himself to a life of fighting what little crime takes place in sleepy border town Sommerton Junction after leaving his LAPD post following a bungled operation that left him wracked with failure and defeat after his partner was crippled. After a spectacular escape from an FBI prisoner convoy, the most notorious, wanted drug kingpin in the hemisphere is hurtling toward the border at 200 mph in a specially outfitted car with a hostage and a fierce army of gang members. He is headed, it turns out, straight for Summerton Junction, where the whole of the U.S. law enforcement will have their last opportunity to make a stand and intercept him before he slips across the border forever. At first reluctant to become involved, and then counted out because of the perceived ineptitude of his small town force, Owens ultimately accepts responsibility for one of the most daring face offs in cinema history.
Rounding out the cast are Zach Gilford, Forest Whitaker, Luis Guzman, Rodrigo Santoro, Johnny Knoxville, Eduardo Noriega, Peter Stormare and Harry Dean Stanton. Korean action-suspense master Kim Jee-Woon (“A Tale Of Two Sisters,” “The Good, the Bad, the Weird,” “I Saw the Devil”) is directing the film, which is based on a spec script by Andrew Knauer that was subsequently rewritten by Jeffrey Nachmanoff.
