The Likes Of Eva Green, Naomi Watts & Anne Hathaway Up For Two Lead Actress Roles In ‘The Dark Knight Rises’
Jan 12th

Through an anonymous source the good people over at Collider have reported that Eva Green and Naomi Watts have been cast in The Dark Knight Rises. The source doesn’t know which roles they’re playing, but believes they’ve been cast as Talia al Ghul and Vicki Vale, respectively. Talia al Ghul is the daughter of Ra’s al Ghul (played by Liam Neeson in Batman Begins) and Vicky Vale is a reporter who’s seemingly a love interest role.
In another Dark Knight Rises report Heat Vision’s sources tell the site that Keira Knightley, Anne Hathaway, Kate Mara, Charlotte Riley, Jessica Biel and possibly Gemma Arterton are due to test for roles in the Warner Bros superhero tentpole in the next two weeks. They also claim that Eva Green and Naomi Watts have not been cast in the film.
From these reports it looks like The Dark Knight Rises needs to fill two big female roles, a villain and a love interest. Both site’s are highly respected and reputable site’s so I’d pretty much guaranteed two of the names previously mentioned being in the film. It pretty much looks like for certain Talia al Ghul will be in the film.
The Dark Knight Rises has a release date of June 20th 2012 and stars Christian Bale, Morgan Freeman, Michael Caine, Gary Oldman and Tom Hardy.
Christopher Nolan Confirms ‘The Dark Knight Rises’ Will Be The Last Chapter in His Batman Saga
Dec 1st
In a recent chinwag with Entertainment Weekly, Director Christopher Nolan expressed his genuine excitement in returning to the Batman world after Inception. He also said that The Dark Knight Rises will be ”the last chapter of our Batman saga,” confirming what’s been alluded to for quite a while.
“I feel very glad that I’m doing another Batman film. I think it would have been daunting to sit down and write an original script after Inception. I love working within the realm and rules of our Batman world. It’s kind of nice to have someplace to go that I’m super-excited about. I must say that I’m glad – I’m very, very glad – to be embarking on the last chapter of our Batman saga without any sense of obligation or duty to the studio. They did very well with Inception. So I’m able to go into finishing our story in a very enthusiastic way”
The Dark Knight Rises comes to cinemas July 20th 2012, and stars Christian Bale, Morgan Freeman, Michael Caine, Gary Oldman and Tom Hardy. Expect more news from The Dark Knight Rises very soon.
Christian Bale Reveals That ‘The Dark Knight Rises’ Will Be The Last Time He Portrays Batman ‘Unless Christopher Nolan Says Different’
Nov 23rd

In a recent chinwag with Totalfilm, Christian Bale declared that the upcoming Batman film, ‘The Dark Knight Rises‘, will be the third and final time he portrays Bruce Wayne/Batman ‘unless [Christopher Nolan] says different’.
“The thing is that this will be, I believe, unless [Christopher Nolan] says different, this will be the last time I’m playing Batman.”
Christopher Nolan has said for a while now that ‘The Dark Knight Rises’ will be the conclusion to the story he started with ‘Batman Begins’. ”Viewing it as an ending, that sets you very much on the right track about the appropriate conclusion and the essence of what tale we’re telling. And it hearkens back to that priority of trying to find the reality in these fantastic stories. That’s what we do.”
In the interview Bale also reveals what he knows about the top-secret script :
“Chris will let me know what I need to know when I need to know it,” he said. “It’s our fourth movie together, and I probably know a little bit more than maybe some people out there, but I think most people will be surprised by how little I do know.”
“It just hasn’t been necessary yet,” he continued. “I know he’ll give me plenty of time to prepare whatever I need to for it and I’ll discover it. He’s a pretty damn good filmmaker I trust that he’s going to come up with something wonderful.”
The Dark Knight Rises has a release date of June 20th 2012 and stars Christian Bale, Morgan Freeman, Michael Caine, Gary Oldman and Tom Hardy.
Tom Hardy Rumoured To Be Playing Dr. Hugo Strange In Christopher Nolan’s ‘The Dark Knight Rises’
Nov 17th
I’m still holding out for Catwoman, but apparently according to Batman News and it’s unnamed source, Tom Hardy is rumoured to be playing Dr. Hugo Strange as the main villain in The Dark Knight Rises. Strange is as mad as a hatter with box of frog‘s – it’d be a great role for Hardy.
My source strongly believes that Hardy is going to be playing Hugo Strange. This is the first bit of information from this person that I’m publishing, however they have been accurate in the past. For example, this person told me weeks before the recent Christoper Nolan interview that The Riddler would not be appearing in the film. They also mentioned that Rachel Weisz and Anne Hathaway were in the running for the lead female role a couple of weeks before Deadline posted their list.
I have to admit all this villain speculation is doing my head in! So far it looks like we’ll have a male villain in Tom Hardy, and a female villain in which the likes of Rachel Weisz, Naomi Watts, Blake Lively, Natalie Portman, Anne Hathaway and Keira Knightley are said to be circling (along with Batman‘s/Bruce Wayne‘s love interest). Hopefully we can get some concrete casting news soon. The Dark Knight Rises has a release date of June 20th 2012 and stars Christian Bale, Morgan Freeman, Michael Caine, Gary Oldman and Tom Hardy.
Christopher Nolan Looking At The Likes Of Natalie Portman, Rachel Weisz & Naomi Watts For A Love Interest & Villain Role In The Dark Knight Rises
Nov 11th

I just thought I’d put it out there that I would crawl 2 miles naked through broken glass just to hear the story of Batman 3 spoken through a walkie talkie by Stephan Hawking…………….with that out the way here’s some good news – Deadline are reporting that Christopher Nolan is meeting with Rachel Weisz, Naomi Watts, Blake Lively, Natalie Portman, Anne Hathaway and Keira Knightley for TWO female lead roles in The Dark Knight Rises. One a love interest for Bruce Wayne/Batman, and the other a villain.
Nolan is keeping the roles under wraps, just the way that he did when he drafted his Inception star Tom Hardy to come aboard to likely play a villain. Deadline broke that story October 13. I’m still not sure what the role is and I believe Hardy took the job without knowing or reading a script that’s still being tweaked.
Whatever happens I’ve got full faith in Christopher Nolan, his streak of great films is unparalleled at the moment – Memento, Insomnia, Batman Begins, The Prestige, The Dark Knight and Inception. Expect to hear more details soon. ‘The Dark Knight Rises′ has a release date of June 20th 2012 and stars Christian Bale, Morgan Freeman, Michael Caine, Gary Oldman and Tom Hardy.
Christopher Nolan Reveals The Title Of His Third Batman Movie As ‘The Dark Knight Rises’ – Also Confirms The Riddler Is NOT The Villain
Oct 27th
In an interview with Hero Complex, Christopher Nolan has announced that his highly anticipated third Batman film will be entitled “The Dark Knight Rises”.
In the interview he also eliminates the possibility of The Riddler as the villain of the film, “It won’t be the Riddler”. He goes on to say “We’ll use many of the same characters as we have all along, and we’ll be introducing some new ones.”
I really wonder who Tom Hardy has been signed up to portray now. I, like most people always assumed it was The Riddler.
